? Jordan Geronimo's per 40s weren't great entering last season. In 2021-22, he 13.8 points and had 11.3 rebounds per 40. Race Thompson's per 40 that year were 15.5 and 10.6 and people weren't calling Race a stud.

Hmmmm........ Tanner Holden enters the portal. Was supposed to be a huge get for Ohio State last year. Transferred from Wright State where he averaged 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 1/2 assists. Was in the rotation for Ohio State but saw just 13.6 minutes per game, averaging 3.6 points and 2.4 rebounds. 6'6" wing. He hasn't shot bad from three -- career 36% shooter -- but does not take many of them, only 131 in four years. Although he played sparingly, he shot well -- 47/50/86 (only took 14 three point attempts). From what I've read, it's believed he didn't play more because of his defense. Might be worth a look.

I think it was the Rutgers game at IU when he hurt his leg again. I don't know that he was ever 100% after, but outside of the 3 or 4 games where he played well when Race was out, there really weren't many bright spots.

I dug a little deeper after seeing that that he had played 8 games at Georgetown and getting about 10 minutes per game. Looked bigger than just mop up minutes. Found out he was in their rotation as a freshman but played his last game on December 7th. Myron Gardner wasn't a player I had looked at but he seems like a fit at the 3.

I read that as of April 11, 27% of all scholarship players had hit the portal and that every conference had at least 15% in the portal.

Hey guys, there is a 6'7" wing from VCU that just became available. Averaged 13.9 points and 5.3 rebounds last year. Shot a gaudy 54% from the field including 40% from three on 105 attempts. Watchya think?

It was just a funny way that Oats said it ….we are ‘no longer recruiting’ Walton makes it sound like the recruitment process was still in the process. But Oats isn’t exactly known for making sensible statements on situations.
