(2024) - PG Boogie Fland to Kentucky
RaceToTheTop replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
FWIW, this Noah Anderson gives four word responses when asked about his credibility — when asked about being a Kansas insider he says ‘I just go to school there’ and ‘I’m not a Kansas insider’. If you are someone with inside recruiting knowledge, you certainly would have some ins with the school where you actually live. He sounds like a dart thrower to me and a Trilly wannabe. -
(2024) - PG Boogie Fland to Kentucky
RaceToTheTop replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
FWIW, Noah Anderson's LinkedIn page says he was a 'recruiting analyst' for 247 from April 2020 to August 2020. He has only been at Burnerball (in whatever capacity...I still haven't found anything there with his name on it) since July of this year and now it's off his twitter bio. Doesn't sound like a guy who sticks around long. His tweets are like a bad Triilly impersonator. -

Anderson tweeted this on Oct. 4th. No one has committed to Vanderbilt since then. https://x.com/Noah_a11/status/1709653175941083608?s=20 -

I total it as 72 of 155 from the field (47%), 43 of 91 from three (47%) for an effective shooting % of 60%. -
(2024) - PG Boogie Fland to Kentucky
RaceToTheTop replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Of course I want top talent, and Boogie has it. In terms of NIL money, there are the haves and the have nots. IU and Kentucky are haves. I don't think there a ton of cases where it comes down to exact dollars when the dollars are going to close in NIL -- at that point is more about the sell and how the player sees himself fitting in the program. Hunter Dickinson left Michigan because of the lack of NIL there, and he's an exception to where he did milk NIL down to the last dollar it seems -- Kansas coaches 'guaranteed' the money while Calipari it was said wouldn't get into exact dollars and cents, just told him that Kentucky does take care of their players and could point to those in the program. And I think the truth is that some boosters at UK are ready to move on from Cal and aren't ponying up as much as they could. Like or dislike (I'm in the latter), he has been successful at UK -- from players getting drafted and into the NBA standpoint. If I had to chose whether my son had to play for Cal or Bill Self, it would be Cal (obviously prefer it was neither). -

I don't like Cal one bit, but there isn't much need to be slimy anymore in college basketball. NIL money kind of ended that. Kentucky has NIL money. Indiana has NIL money. Fland will go wherever he feels is best for himself. I hope it's Indiana and I think it is a better system for him from a pick and roll offensive standpoint. -

https://x.com/trillydonovan/status/1710034518977953971?s=20 Trilly Donovan posted a gif from Stranger Things on October 5th. He responded to that tweet today with Boogie Flands announcement date. Stranger Things takes place in Indiana. -
Torvik projects 19-11 and 11-9 (tied for fifth). FWIW, they rank Purdue #1 and project them at 22-7, 15-5 -- so Torvik tends to put teams closer to .500 than most.

(2024) PF - Derik Queen to Maryland
RaceToTheTop replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
rockchalktalk.com was predicting prior to yesterday that McNeeley would commit to IU and that Queen would be joining him as they want to play together. They felt Kansas would continue to monitor Queen's interest in Kansas but likely are moving on to other targets. -

Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker accused of sexually harassing rape survivor
RaceToTheTop replied to iubb's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I have no idea why Tucker thinks that these messages between Tracy and her assistant make Tucker 'innocent': "I'm filing a formal complaint with MSU," Tracy wrote, according to the letter. "... [My lawyer] said after that we can let him know that we want to come to an agreement then it doesn't have to go to a hearing or anything unless he wants it to." According to the messages provided by Tucker's lawyers, Tracy later added: "Money is my only recourse to make him feel like there is a punishment" and "when they do the money I should make him pay me 10k directly." ------------------------------------------------------------ It sounds to me like Tracy was choosing to file the complaint that she felt that the only punishment he would feel was financial. Her saying 'I should make him pay me 10k directly' is a paltry sum if the allegations were true. Sounds to me more like the principal of the thing -- that he should be forced to make a financial payment directly to her as more of a sign of guilt. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38574092/mel-tucker-letter-sent-michigan-st-alleges-new-evidence -

Not real fond of Allen basically only talking about Tayven Jackson not being very good in the post game interview. Defense gave up 474 yards. 34 runs for 92 yards. Three trips inside the 10 yard line where IU didn't throw the ball once. -
