The reaction of the Penn State fan with her mouth open is the same response IU fans just had. -

How can a D1 quarterback miss such an incredibly easy throw like that? -

Thanks, hadn't heard that. Maybe as a peace offering, IU offers free tacos at taco bell if IU scores 80 points. -

Just for comparison, last year's 26-5 U Indy team lost an exhibition to Western Kentucky 68-50. This year's group had three exhibition games in August against Canadian schools, winning two and losing one. In the Division 2 championship tournament, there are 8 brackets of 8 teams each. U Indy was a one seed and lost at home to the 8 seeded team in round 1 -- a team they had beaten by 25 earlier in the year. They started last year 4-3 and ran off 18 straight wins. They return their top two scorers and four of their top five scorers from last year's team. They entered the championship tournament at 26-4 and ranked #9 in division 2. -

Personally, I'm okay with getting rid of the automatic awarding of a regular season champion of a low major getting an NIT bid. Might be in the minority on that, though. IMO it did eliminate some other more deserving teams -- some of them from mid majors. The interesting thing is that in the NIT awarding automatic bids to the two highest rated NET teams from the power 6 conferences regardless of record that there is a real possibility that a team with a losing record will get invited to the NCAA tournament. Using that criteria, 15-17 Oklahoma would have been invited last year.

Because apparently I misread what you typed and inverted your letters. :) Just an aside, edits don't show up as edited unless you click the box on the edit. I didn't know notice that until recently. -

Not great at any one thing but rebounded well for his size. 6.8 pts, 7.0 reb, and 3.4 assists the year he was here. Was dismissed from the team in the offseason after Sampson was fired. -

I graduated from U Indy (was University of Indianapolis when I was there, but was Indiana Central University before that). They've had a nice run -- have had a number of D1 down transfers come in during the past couple of years -- including one from Vanderbilt. Currently have one down transfer, Jarvis Walker, who transferred from Purdue Fort Wayne. U of I will likely be better than Was a while ago, but U Indy beat Tennessee in an exhibition back in 2010 by 15 points in front of 16,000 Vols fans. -
That’s a big blow to Cal. I remember thinking he would be a good fit for IU if he he got his waiver. Good length for a wing, can shoot.

Mgbako Arrested, Paying Small Fine for Misdemeanor
RaceToTheTop replied to Jeff Flabjohns's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
No lecture and wasn’t trying to be difficult. It was an honest question about why people would ask for the thread to end rather than just avoid it if they aren’t receiving from it what they want. in terms of stereotyping and slander, the mods on this board do a pretty good job of removing posts that are over the line IMO. in terms of people worried about how this effects recruiting, views of the program…just my opinion, but Alabama doesn’t have problems recruiting despite their problems with guns. -
I am 100% in favor of hiring Coach Not Tom Allen.

Have to say Yost will almost certainly lose the case if he tries to press it forward. I know that Yost is trying to claim that it violates ADA laws -- but the NCAA had stated back in January that two-time non graduate transfers would have immediate eligibility denied unless they could adequately prove a medical or safety reason for the transfer. Some transfers have been approved, others denied -- Torvik lists 86 cases and updates which have been approved and which have been denied. Currently 7 approved, 7 denied. Others may have been approved or denied but hasn't been put out there yet. The fact that some transfers are going through says to me that it's not a wholesale denial and that if the documentation and evidence supports it, it is accepted. One of the biggest denials was for Raequan Battle who started his career at Washington before transferring to Montana State where he averaged close to 18 points per game last year. His immediate eligibility waiver was denied to play at West Virginia this year.

But if new information is all you want, a quick google search shows that. Message boards are really meant for people to state their position. -

I guess I don't see why everyone thinks it's necessary to shut a thread down that they get tired of reading responses on. Pretty easy way of avoiding that. -

I once got mad at a taco bell because I ordered that thing they make that contains a tortilla, beef and cheese and they gave me that other thing they make that contains a tortilla, beef, and cheese. It's the rubik's cube of fast food. Just move the ingredients around a little and you have a completely new dish. -
