What in the hell is up with these foul calls now?

I rewound and freeze framed because I didn't think the Tennessee player stepped out of bounds when the ref called it out on the rebound......was correct, he was two or three inches in bounds.

....that was an extremely soft foul. Wow.

Both teams fouling a lot. Tennessee plays such physical ugly basketball that they should owe the Big Ten royalties.

Purdue/Tennessee free throw practice occasionally interrupted by a game.

Next up....Harvard. Malik Mack has been really, really good for them. As a team, they have shot well from three (41%) but they take it at a below average rate (22 per game). They hung with Boston College, losing by 9. Beat Massachusetts in overtime, but that was really a game they should have lost -- U Mass was 10 of 25 from the line. Don't expect it to be an easy one -- Pom has IU as a seven point favorite. Torvik has IU by 9.

So you are saying they will finish near the bottom of the ACC.

I hope they do, but that would mean they are below 101 in NET. That would be in the neighborhood of what Wake Forest did last year, which was a NET of 90 with a 19-14 record. I think they probably have to go at least 9-11 in conference to finish with a NET below. I don't think they will. I'd say they have more talent than last year....but Kenny Payne on the sidelines isn't a good recipe. They got beat tonight by a defense that I'm sure IU spends very little time practicing. I've been a proponent of us trying it because of the issues we've had with switches. Mgbako wasn't in when we went to it, but I'd like to see him in that set sometime going forward because I think it fixes a lot of his defensive issues.

X's 9 made free throws put him over 500 for his career (504 now).

While I agree we should be shooting more threes, I don't think we really have that many shooters....particularly until Mgbako starts hitting.

It is, but until you start actually hitting some, it would be just taking them to take them. Think we're at 23% right now after going 1 for 11 tonight.

I get it. It's just that Stu is correct -- Louisville is sucky. A win over us would just mean we lost to a sucky team. They lost to Kentucky Wesleyan in an exhibition. They needed late heroics to beat Maryland Baltimore County. They lost at home to Chattanooga by 10. The one point loss to Texas is the exception, not the rule....they were simply a sucky team that had a good game.

At making threes? I don't think so. Know what the kicker is? Xavier Johnson is 5 of 10 from three. The rest of the team is 10 of 54.

Anyone feel bad that Dakich had to rewrite his script that he had written up about the embarassing Indiana loss with 6 minutes left in the game? Me neither. He'll probably still go with it.

Cool. If UT's shot doesn't fall and Louisville wins....they are still sucky. 2-23 against in their last 25 games against power conference teams. They lost to Chattanooga and only beat UMBC by 1. I hope they do get better just so they finish in the top 200 NET and it's a quad 3 win. But they were 315 last year, so 200 might be a stretch....because they are sucky.

Not only did we run zone, but they ran it pretty well. Allowed a couple of entry passes to the free throw line that you wouldn't like to see happen, but I was pleased in that in the zone they seemed cognizant where the perimeter players were.

Five minutes of zone would have probably beaten Tom Crean's best teams.

Louisville ending a game on a bad run kind of backs up what Stuhoo said about them.
