Big game for Gonzaga tonight -- seem to be squarely on the bubble right now and are at San Francisco tonight. Gonzaga currently only has one quad 1 win and the game at San Francisco is a quad one. The game after this is at St. Mary's, so back-to-back quad one opportunities both on the road. Get swept and have to think they would need to win the WCC tournament to make it.

Double checked South Florida's remaining schedule....will be one quad 2 and two quad 3 games, so they will end the regular season with no quad 1 games UNLESS Memphis moves into the top 75 (they are currently 79).

Interesting.....Wisconsin's NET ranking remained unchanged at 22 after the IU game. Quad 2 loss for them, I assumed they would have dropped a couple of spots. It was a quad one win for IU but only moved them up 2 spots from 107 to 105.

FWIW, they said the fire alarm actually started at the under 12 timeout but word didn’t get to stop the game until a few minutes later. At the under 12 timeout IU was up 4, so Wisconsin had not gotten all the way back from down 15 at that time.

McCuellar went out 5 games ago and Timberlake has been starting in his place. He hadn't been getting many shots even though he was getting more minutes. In his 5 starts he's averaged 27.2 minutes, shot 12 of 31 (39%) including 6 of 21 from three (29%) with just 2.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists and 8.6 ppg.

I have no idea how the scenario will play out. I don't think they are going to win at Maryland or Minnesota and their best chance would be the last game at home against Michigan State. If they win one of the last three, that would put them at 16-15 overall and 8-12 in conference and in the play in round of the Big Ten. Just my opinion, but if IU is in the play in round of the BTT with the amount of NIL IU has at its disposal and they don't fire Woodson, then they weren't going to fire him anyway. In terms of my watching habits late in the season this year, when there are games that I really didn't think we would win, I would scoreboard watch and only tune in later if it were going well. I didn't watch the Penn State game last weekend and saw just bits and pieces of the Nebraska game. I was more invested in tonight's game because of my dislike of Wisconsin.

For the year Wisconsin has 47 blocked shots....have to say come postseason, they will have a steady flow of players rim running at them.

Except that the events aren't mutually exclusive. You won't get a snow day if it doesn't snow, but we could lose out and Woodson would still be the coach next year. In terms of 'rooting for two irreconcilable positions' -- what I root for will have no bearing in what happens at the end of the year. If I root for Indiana to win a game, it has no bearing in whether they actually win or not, just like 'rooting' for Woodson to be fired has no bearing in whether he is fired or not.
