Vegas lines move with the bets. FWIW, IU did beat Michigan State really without Galloway last Sunday and X couldn't have played a worse game. -

They say it's hard to beat a team three times in a season. But if they beat us tonight, think how hard it will for them to beat us a fourth time this year. -

I wouldn't be so sure Baylor can match. His current salary is $5.1 million which is double what it was about 5 years ago. I think only Bill Self and Cal make more and Cal just barely ($8.6 mill). -
Heard those rumblings as well.

Was the Detroit Mercy job not available? I'd rather sit and live out my buyout than take the DePaul job. -

I mean, Bruce Pearl is a car salesman. Just a car salesman who can coach. -

That’s why I didn’t take what Leal said that harsh. It was out of character and the ‘chill out’ line to me was about the anger that got directed to the players. There are fair and unfair attacks and IMO he was talking about the unfair ones. I do think there are some IU fans that were offended by Leal’s comments that he wasn’t really referring to. It was literally like a thirty second speech and every word gets analyzed in it because it was vague. -

Musselman could be a hot name again next year. Bad year for Arkansas but that hasn’t been the norm. -

It was noticeable that he called out fans on senior day but thanked Dolson. -

If it was Ngw, it wouldn’t have said source, it would have been ‘higher level source’. -

Where should I send the flowers? Or in lieu of flowers, can I send a donation for Chris to run for the BOT? Anyway, I'm already at the stage of grief where I've accepted that we have Woodson coming back next year. -

This is what Cathy said: Hire the right guy and you can give them the authority to make decisions, even really big ones. Hire a lawyer or a former athlete from your school with no time as an AD anywhere, ever, and you’re in trouble at some point. We done this, as has Purdue (Burke swam at Purdue but had zero AD experience, by the way), and it... --------------- To me that says while an AD can have that authority, Dolson doesn't. But IMO Cathy is either someone who knows someone on the board is just simply doing a roundabout way of defending them (doing a lot of doublespeak and then ending with 'I'm not either defending or supporting' but when anyone attacks the BOT, she is pointing fingers elsewhere) or "she" is just Ngw's alternate account. In her version, Quinn and the BOT supported hiring Woodson as did Dolson but it's Dolson's fault despite the fact that Dolson's first choice was Stevens. -

The key word in your comment is "we". "We" as in people on BTB have a completely different opinion than the "we" who are making the decisions. -
There is definitely a possibility that Indiana State had their best season since Larry Bird and will still miss the tournament. It's hard to move up above a St. Louis level job without ever being in an NCAA tournament.

Pepperdine has had two really good players (at least on paper) go to the portal now -- Porter and Ajayi -- who combined to averaged 34.4 points and 15 rebounds per game between them. The one area of concern in knowing how good they are is that even having those two guys, Pepperdine was a bad WCC team. Ajayi does look like the better of the two. 6'7" wing, rebounds well for his size. Listed as a guard on their roster but think he really isn't.

Penn State up 10. Knowing Michigan basketball, they won't fire Howard after the season. They'll just suspend him from home games. -

80 minutes of Leal, X, Cupps and who knows...maybe even Gunn.....if Galloway can't go says differently. It's not an excuse (although Woodson will make it one). It's a roster construction issue. Anyway, still pulling for the guys in cream and crimson. Hopefully X plays better than he did against Michigan State because IU needs him to. That was probably his worst game of the year. Really could use the X that played against Maryland. -

16-13 with 6:36 left in the first half? Big Ten basketballl...... -
But both cases support my initial point and that the board is not taking individual accountability and hide behind 'consensus building' according to a certain poster. Either they are giving a public display of votes in which case it shouldn't be hard to find cases where there was a fractured vote or they cast their votes in private (which I believe is against public law as they are a public institution) and therefore make sure that no individual is held accountable for their stance.
-
Yep -- in which case there is even more reason to believe the point I made, which is that they are acting in a manner that consistently makes sure there is no one on the board is held accountable for their own position. I have looked at board meeting minutes for both Purdue and IU. Purdue's are MUCH more clear and easier to access.

Factually, IU is tied for 6th. So are Iowa and Michigan State. If Michigan Stats doesn’t win tomorrow it’s possible that all three are out. And honestly, that would be fair. That said, I think if MSU loses the NCAA is still putting them in….undeservedly IMO. -

One thing I will say is that if Reneau would have been at the 5 and Mgbako at the 4, that's a really poor rebounding team. MR doesn't rebound like a 5 and MM doesn't rebound like a 4 -- although I think MM would have been a decent defender at the 4 in college.
