Pop Isaacs to Houston

Notice that Bernie Blunt played in 2021-22 and then didn't play again until 2024-25? Wonder what he did with his time off. Anyway, IU doesn't need a guy that will go 4 of 20 from the field.

Texas Tech is elite? Is that why they had to up their assistant's pay in order to keep him from going to lowly Indiana?
-
In other words, Buzz Williams is a guy who doesn't fit your pigeonholed view of the world and therefore doesn't count.
-
Currently they still all-world name team member Jizzle James.

It's not just that it sucks, it's at a stupid time. There is no reason the portal has to open as early as it does.....just push it back until after the final four and then have no dead period.

Kris Parker, Villanova freshman, 6'9" wing. 10 mpg, 2.6 points. Originally a redshirt at Alabama and then transferred to Villanova. Mike Sharavjamts on the move again. Freshman year at Dayton, sophomore year at San Francisco, junior year at Utah. IU pursued him two years ago. 6'9" wing. over three seasons has averaged 23.5 mpg, 6.9 ppg, 2.8 reb, and 2.7 assists. 41/33/70 shooter. Scotty Middleton, 6'7" sophomore forward. Played his freshman year at Ohio State and his sophomore year at Seton Hall. Over two years averaged 18.1 mpg, 5.1 ppg. Good three point shooter, has made 56 of 135 threes (41.5%).

Darian DeVries - New IUBB Head Coach
RaceToTheTop replied to iubb's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He did say that was what he thinks, not knows. And that was way back on March 30th.....what is the point of rehashing it? -
Wasn't that long ago that Musselman left Arkansas for USC. I wouldn't say that Maryland was that big of an upgrade for Buzz Williams. A&M has money. Might not be a basketball centric school, but Maryland hasn't had that much in terms of resources -- which is why Willard left (he was also left off the list of P5 transfers -- Maryland to Villanova).

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Quaintance tore his ACL in March so I wouldn't be surprised if they eased him into action at the beginning of the year.
-
Of the Cincy players that recently entered, the one I'm highest on is still Dan Skillings. But with Arrienton Page having two years eligibility, even with him not leaving up to his potential yet he'd be a decent get.
-
I 100% doubt that.

The more I think about it, the more Dan Skillings from Cincinnati would make sense if Drew Adams could aid in that. Decent defender and okay scorer. Had a pretty good sophomore year. Last year the injury issue brought down his numbers. -

Briscoe has a visit to Kent State and is working on setting up visits to Duquesne and College of Charleston. Looks like his level of offers is lowering since he decommited from Iowa. -
Mouhamed Diabate to Kentucky.

Jalen Shelly, USC F, 6'8". Didn't play much (2 ppg, 1.5 rpg), but was ranked 72nd in the class of 2024. Lucas Taylor, Syracuse, 6'5" guard. 21.6 mpg, 6 ppg, 2.4 rpg. 45/37/84. Xavier Amos, Wisconsin, 6'7" forward. Rotational player at Wisky, 9.7 mpg, 3.5 pts, 1.8 rebounds. -
Good length, + defender. Probably a pretty good buy low option because he didn't have a great year last year -- his sophomore year was better. Not a good shooter -- 28% from deep for his career and best percentage in any year is 28.4%. Was a very good rebounder for his size as a sophomore (6.4/game), really dipped down last year. As a rotational guy or defensive minded wing, pretty good option.

Tre Carroll, FAU. 6'7" forward. 12.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg. 52/39/76 shooter.
-
Clark was an assistant coach at Sunrise Christian Academy from 2017-19. Moikobu spent six seasons as a coach at Sunrise. They both have ties.
-
As an FYI, like the Texas Tech assistant, Rod Clark has ties to Sunrise Christain Academy.

As a fan it's not ideal but I completely understand why a player would want to visit before committing. -

Trilly Donovan confirmed, I believe. -
Kerr Kriisa to Cincinnati. Jalil Bethea (Miami) to Alabama. He was ranked 7th in the class of 2024. Had a sub par freshman year, averaging 7 points in 19 minutes shooting 37/33.
