Damn. Other than West Virginia, a real southern list. Might like the warm weather. I will say that the two things that concerned me were his height and that his three point shooting percentages jumped all over the map in his four years -- 40% his freshman year, 21% his sophomore year, 32% his junior year, 43% his senior year. Still in need of a point guard and shooters. Hopefully positive developments with Hickman this weekend.

I always like top ranked kids who prioritize international ball over the national travel circuit. Games where they are actually going all out and trying to win as opposed to expressing scouts.

Maybe he won't. But I am sure IU will touch base because he was really close to coming to IU two years ago. In terms of performance, they certainly exited early but they didn't underperform in the regular season. They started the year ranked 16th and ended the year ranked 12th. The truth is that if he were to return to Kentucky, he would be pretty much guaranteed a starting role again on a team that would be top 25, yet he's leaving. If it were simply about playing a lot and winning, he'd be staying. Quite a few guys that enter the portal do so because they simply don't like where they are playing/the coach/etc.

Caleb Love: 5 of 18 from the field, 0 of 9 from three, 1 assist. In Arizona's last three losses of the season (USC, Oregon, Clemson) he was 8 of 39 from the field, 1 of 22 from three, and had 5 assists to 12 turnovers.

My future son-in-law graduated from Clemson and he and my daughter are staying with us on the way to moving to South Carolina, so he was psyched.

Adou Thiero in the portal......would assume that IU will reach out as he was recruited by IU and it came down to IU and Kentucky and he seemed to have ended up at Kentucky because of his dad. 6'7ish wing who can defend multiple positions. Was not much of a three point threat under Kentucky (shot 32% last season on just 22 attempts) but in high school he made 134 of 376 from deep (36%). Made 19 starts at Kentucky last year, averaging 21 minutes and about 7 points and 5 rebounds. Outstanding athlete. Again, IU will still need to bring in shooters but as a backup 2/3/4 he's a good d and rebound guy. Also blocked over a shot per game last year.

Some really good names announced today. Among them: Washington State's Myles Rice in the portal. 6'3" freshman Averaged 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists. Shot 44/28/81. Only 36 of 131 from three but if he develops a three point shot could be lite. Good defender. Zion Harmon, Bethune Cookman. 5'10" sophomore guard. Two year starter, averaged 14.1 points, 2.1 reb, and 3.4 ast over two seasons. 39/30/88 shooter.. Former IU target Adou Thiero, Kentucky. 6'6" wing (listed as 6'8" on Kentucky's roster but 6'6" on On3). Made 19 starts at Kentucky this past year. In 21 minutes per game this year averaged 7.2 pts, 5.0 reb, 1.1 ast, and 1.1 blocks. Shot 49/32/80 although had limited attempts from three (7 of 22). Did put up 16 points and 13 rebounds against Kansas early in the year. Two years eligibility left. Micah Peavy, TCU. 6'8" wing. 10.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists. 46/31/61. North Texas guard Jason Edwards. 6'0" guard. 19.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists. 43/35/81 and a volume three point shooter (84 of 240).

At this point, have any Florida Atlantic players went into the portal? Think May will likely really struggle in his first year at Michigan if he isn't able to get any of his former players to follow.

Tucker won’t turn 18 until this summer so think it wouldn’t have made sense for him to reclassify even though he wa ahead on credits.

In terms of where he scores on the court, he’s similar to JHS.

I hope as well that it’s with Mgbako, but I also prefer that if Mgbako it’s nice to have a player like Young there and an open spot to try and replace some things that MM did.

I agree but there were definitely times where MM played the 4 and MR the 5 last season. Better roster flexibility IMO puts them in a position to see more time at the 4 and 5.
