Are you calling Goode a guard? Because he’s really not — doubt you see any kind of real time with only he and one other guard on the court. Goode is s SF.

FWIW, Torvik seems to generate minutes based on last years minutes. It projected last season that Payton Sparks would play more than Reneau.

IU contacted but don’t think it got much past that. I really like his game but he’ll deserve minutes IU can’t give. Poor man’s Robbie Hummel.

I don't like cryptic tweets but there are things that you can't tweet. Best you can do is provide hints. There also possibilities to the tweet other than Goode or high school recruits. Malone played at Grace College. And I know we've always heard rumblings even though he's never hit the portal -- Caleb Furst would actually fit as the back up 4/5 we need.

Probably need tempered expectations on that -- people calling for one of the top ten unsigned portal centers are off base as you aren't going to see a guy like that come to be a back up. IMO, guys like Justice Aghobar (Harvard) and Moussa Cisse (Mississippi) would represent the absolute ceiling of what you could get to be a back up. That said, I like the Malone kid just not sure how his game will translate.....but he's intriguing.

You are correct in that the shot chart map does not look good last year. What's interesting is that in Woodson's first year, it did look a little better -- still more long twos than U Conn's map this year, but better than IU's map from 2023-24 -- while last year's map looks similar to this year's map EXCEPT much more red on the 15 to 18 foot range. Most likely that is due to JHS and Kopp's abilities to hit those shots.

As far as we have heard, yes, IU is still a consideration. He visited Colorado after he visited IU.

Yes, Walters was recruited as small forward. He's a 3 or stretch 4. Tweener in terms of a defender, not quick enough for a 3, not strong enough for a 4. In no way is he a 5.

Bascially Luke Goode is similar to Miller Kopp in the position he would play. He's a 3 but can be pushed into a 4 based on matchup. You aren't going to play him as a 4 if the other team is playing a traditional 4 but you can play him at the 4 in a small ball lineup. Illinois to Indiana would be a pretty lateral move in terms of playing time and fit IMO as well as NIL so if he likes his role at Illinois but wants to be closer to family it would make sense. If he is looking for increased court time, not so much.

What's funny is that I think it was just yesterday that Goode 'dispelled the rumors that he was entering the portal'. The rumors before the portal opened were that both Goode and Furst would enter the portal and look to play together for the same team. Purdue is still one over the scholarship limit so something has to give there and it doesn't seem like that have been urgent to get that opening so they might know who is leaving already. If the rumors are true that they would be looking to play at the same place, the two places making the most sense are Indiana and Notre Dame.

I never stated nor defended saying that IU would have a top 15 offense. I addressed the point of his argument that I had an issue with, nothing more, nothing less.
