My dad coached high school basketball (actually coached three different sports -- football, basketball, and golf -- think he probably put in about 80 or so seasons when they are all added together). When he because a head varsity basketball coach, he had a father of a kid he cut who wrote a 'letter to the editor' which was (stupidly) published in the local paper. Guy -- who was the town drunk -- said it was 'guys like (my father) who caused kids to end up in jail'. Idiots are everywhere and are going to write ****.

I would be surprised if that were Kopp. In previous tweets/talks where he has talked about college basketball, he's been pretty level headed. And he's more humorous than SDB (who doesn't seem to understand humor). Kopp took Dave Portnoy out with a single tweet. SDB doesn't understand very simple things.

Yes, they've moved the goal posts from "Woody shouldn't be fired" to "Woody doesn't deserve death threats". Nobody is arguing the second....although we are questioning the legitimacy of it being an actual 'threat'. As someone asked and the Dolson Burner avoiding answering, this would seem to be something that the media would be reporting on and a serious investigation would be made on IF the threats were considered to be credible.

He's such a great 'spokesman' he is resorting to calling people names even when he doesn't understand they are AGREEING with him.

My drink of choice for the upcoming debacle…..Southern Pecan beer. FINALLY was able to track it down. Brewed by Lazy Magnolia out of Atlanta, hard to find anywhere….but turned up at a liquor store about a mile from me. Uses pecans as a base instead of grain. Brown ale.

Because they are subject to legal decisions. As much as I dislike the NCAA organization, they didn't want the current landscape. BUT because of how unreasonable they were, athletes took them to court and ended up with an even bigger piece of the pie than they could have ever imagined.

FWIW, Tyme has now started tweeting replies to the ScottDolsonBurner account. Would not be surprised if they either work in conjunction or are even the same account.

The ScottDolsonBurner account was asked point blank if there were death threats, why wasn't the media reporting it and why wasn't there police investigation? The burner account's reply was 'there are IUPD that work with the athletic department'. To which the matter of reply was 'you literally did not answer any of my questions.'

I understand discussing death threats if they are truly being made (although, let's face it, they aren't legitimate threats). But exactly what is there to discuss about the booing? Can't force fans to respect you....gotta earn it. They are going to continue to boo bad coaching.

'Death threats' can come in many forms and widely different degrees of concern. Someone e-mailing anonymously 'You are a horrible coach and are ruining this program, I hope you die!' probably constitutes a death threat. My guess is that Tom Crean probably received anonymous e-mails like that after the loss to Syracuse. Not sure bringing things up that have no credible reason to believe are actual threats. If they were credible, they would have the police investigating.

I believe that Rice was supposed to go out over the screen (so behind Reneau) instead of running to the baseline. But players got confused with all the late subbing and who was supposed to do what.
