    ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12 Alliance

Agreed. Almost listed all 3 in my alternatives. I just really surprised they're not making moves already. Time could be running out. Without TX and OK, the AAC is actually a better conf.

I think there are some good two sport schools out there.... If I'm the Big12, I'm going hard after Cinci - rising school, FB and BB success UCF - Florida presence Liberty - unique base BYU - unique base Boise State - seems to always be in the conversation some way lol SMU - unique base Houston - another TX team Memphis - TN presence That would make 16, and increase the reach/market. FAU, Coastal Carolina, Louisiana (Rajun Cajuns), Ball St, Buffalo, or UAB if one of the above won't. Perhaps a Cali school too like SJS. I know they wouldn't be on the level of the others out of the gate, but honestly the ACC is very very top heavy, and benefit a lot from the ND tie in. Big 10 isn't what it used to be aside from OSU in FB. PAC has been very very mediocre in FB. If you look at the 8 I listed plus the alternates, I'd say those teams combined with the 8 that remained, would account for near 10 top 25 FB ranks last year.

    (2022) - CG Jalen Hood-Schifino to INDIANA

Bates was 30th nationally, and Jalen is 23rd... Who said Woodson wouldn't be able to recruit. And out of state too. Holy cow I'm likin' it.

Yes and no. It's more FB related IMO.... I'm sure they'll get some formal language sooner or later that talks about poaching teams, etc.. But right now, even the informal nature of it stabilizes things. Each conf is basically signing up to play 2 out of conference games between the three, which is going to have ripple impacts. The games themselves won't keep teams from playing other conferences like the SEC (ACC has regular rivalry games with the SEC), but it will reduce the availability. I've always been a proponent of 4x16, and each conference (each team) playing 3 rotating cross over games with the other 3 confs. Each team (12 games)... 7 division games 1 cross-division intra conf 3 inter-conference game (one each from the other 4x16) 1 pick-em at the schools discretion (any team, any conf)

YW. I had to hunt for it after I read the above lol

    ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12 Alliance

From everything I've read, not a lot of detail lol. Aside from the formalizing of inter-conf games between the 3, not much meat on the bone right now. And sounds like the PAC and BIG can count any game with ND as their ACC game. So no ACC rotating for schools like Stanford and USC? I just wish they'd go to four 16 team super-conferences, and be done with it.... ACC and Big need two teams each, and the PAC needs 4. I'm sure those 8 total teams can be found from AAC, B12, Inds, and other places..... I guess I'm a little surprised the Big12 isn't doing more to stablize, add, or merge.... If I'm the Big12 commish, I'd be on the phone with the AAC and few schools from the MWC.
  7. not getting ahead of anything. i just had no idea who that team was and thought they were some doormat found it interesting that they beat TT last trip, and TT was a top 5 team.
  8. So just looked up BC Mega... On their last Bahamas trip, they split with Texas Tech, who was highly rated that year. Hmmmm.
  9. Thank you kind sir!!!! I laughed looking at our opponent's box score... How many xxx-ics can you have on one team lol.
  10. anyone got a boxscore? I've read a few articles, but haven't seen a boxscore yet.

Coach Knight at the IUBB reunion

He's been back to IU, and back for this reunion. Time for my fav coach of all time to wear the right hat lol. Especially when taking a pic with a current IU player.

Could have done without the OSU hat....

(2022) - PF Kaleb Banks to Tulane

Welcome aboard Kaleb!! Seems like a high ceiling guy with great ball skills for his size. Should be a good scheme fit as a 3. D and motor may need work, but assuming Rosemond and the staff know him well enough, so I can't see it being an issue. I'd like to see one more guy for 22, and hopefully a top 20 kind of prospect.

Top 25 at the end of the season is very doable IMO. I think the roster is good enough, and I feel very confident that Woodson's scheme/coaching will be better than CAM. We just need to keep rolling on the recruiting trail. We need some NIL dolla dolla billz yo...

    Name, Image & Likeness (NIL)

I honestly don't care about prominent players being frustrated though lol. At worst, students athletes were given a free education. And a lot of the money went to funding sports and athletes in not so prominent sports and areas. There are lots of nuances to the whole topic. I do think the NCAA has been hypocritical though. It developed into a business a long time ago, and a lot of people have made money off of athletes. Now had the NCAA not been such money grubbing ***** for decades, I might think differently. At the end of the day, there used to be some level of amateurism in college sports, and those days were really nice. Now big schools are more about the money, care very little about grades (only that players remain eligible), and kids are mostly interested in getting to the next level rather than getting an education. The bigger question is where does it end lol. I'm just waiting on some HS kids to start demanding their cut lol. On the topic of distraction though, it's a real concern. Just like one of our players has signed on to a business where people can pay money to play video games with their favorite players. Do you really want your players trying to carve out time during the week away from classes and practice to play video games and collect a pay check. Now I'm sure most will be responsible, but as we all know, some people suffer with common sense issues. I don't know what the rules are, but I would hope that schools/kids limit this kind of activity during the season.

https://www.insidethehall.com/2021/07/02/roundup-what-iu-basketball-players-are-saying-about-name-image-and-likeness-on-social-media/ I have zero problem with NIL in theory, but boy I hope it's not a distraction. Love seeing the tweet from XJ.

Xavier Johnson - Commits to IU (PG)

My hope is we have multiple alphas this year. I think XJ, Stewart, and TJD will all be backbones. At least that's what the fan in me thinks. Hearing Stewart is shooting lights out, XJ is leading, and we all know TJD ballz. I think this year's team will be very very different. And I like it.

    New Jerseys/Alternate Jerseys

If we won a NC, I might not care lol. But anything, and I mean ANYTHING political only divides the fan base. And our fan base is already dwindling. 20 years ago, there were far less PU, ND, and Butler fans in IN. IU fanbase has been dropping off, and we just need to get back to basketball. I'd just like for people/fans to start enjoying sports again, for the game, and stop making it a tool for politicians.

    New Jerseys/Alternate Jerseys

I could care less about jerseys right now. I just want to win. Just nothing political please. Political = divisive. Just keep it simple. I don't care about font, colors, style.... I'd be just fine with any of the 6 concepts. Just win baby.

Much like Matta, it will be interesting to see what responsibilities Hill will have. I agree it's a very nice add. At minimum, seems the university is going all in as much as possible on both coaching and the admin surrounding the team. And I think we now know a little more why someone in Boston didn't bite on what was rumored to be a very lucrative offer (given his step up).

His hair, or just look in general gave me a Larry Bird vibe.
  24. From the same article I posted, and specifically on 5/post options I'm sure there are more nuances and Woodson likely has his own formula, but guessing we'll likely employ #1.
