Yup, yup, and yup... That's why I want healthy doses of Durr and Geronimo. Let Durr play the heavy for good chunks of the game vs Bingham while TJD stays a bit off. Let Geronimo be the "active" guy he is causing pain for the other Fs. Let TJD pick and choose more I guess.

Given MSU's heavy F/C rotation/use, I'd like to see a lot of Geronimo and Durr. IIRC, MSU only has Bingham playing at over 6-9 (he's 7/230), and he's good on the board and shooting %. The other Fs (and they have 3 other guys that get a ton of minutes) all have various +/-'s..... I guess my fear is MSU outworking us on the boards, and TJD getting into foul trouble.

I agree for the most part on Durr, but just doesn't seem like we have really tried. Could be totally wrong, but I'd have to see the overlap minutes where both Durr and TJD had minutes together. Durr's only averaging 7.9 min this year. The only game he's had 20+ this season is PU when TJD was incredibly limited by injury and fouls. Not trying to suggest Durr at the 5 and TJD all of a sudden makes TJD do those things better, but it at least is an attempt to develop. In short, if we remain status quo with TJD and Race as 5 and 4, I just don't expect anything different.

I was hoping the same, but not surprised much that we've seen status quo given we still have to use him the same. For him to really develop like we all want, IMO we'd need a true "big" to fill that gap. Personally didn't expect one early, but thought we'd see a "big" develop throughout the season. And the only true "big" we have is Durr lol... And we're using him less than his previous team did..

Should be competitive. Need this game big time given the current streak. Don't see Leal starting, but nothing would surprise me. Galloway starting would be nice, but would hope he'd be in place of Kopp. Just hope nobody broke curfew again lol.... Assuming folks are now towing the line, I expect things to get back to normal. Perhaps those guys don't "officially" start, but guessing they would at least come off the bench quickly. If true, and it was only a curfew issue, doesn't seem like that would qualify for long term doghouse type of treatment.

I don't drink much or often when IU plays, but I really feel like denting a big bottle of booze for this game. Sucks it's at noon. Maybe I'll make believe I'm on the beach and blend up some Pina Coladas. I can only drink 3-4 of those tops. Agree on Durr. We'll need to throw some bodies around. I'm interested though to see how all three (TJD, Race, and Durr do against Kofi).

MSU is also 2 games ahead of us IIRC.

Welp, hopefully Kofi is really worn out after scoring 37..... TJD, Race, and Durr gonna have their hands full. At least their FT% sucks lol. Their 3pt % doesn't really scare me either.

We're Net 30, KP 25..... Call me pretty happy in year one with Woody thus far. PU win was my biggest box to check. It's checked. Second biggest box is going to the dance... Looking good so far. Not going to start worrying about bracketology just yet. Need to get 2 wins (IL, at NW) before the rough 3 game stretch (at MSU, Wiscy, at OSU). I'll be really happy with 2 home game wins, and at least NW on the road... IL is a big one IMO... Keep building

Forgot to give a shoutout to Lander.... not a lot of minutes, but good minutes. Was stumping for more minutes for Bates, and he disappointed.

They kept it close till late 1H, then they seemed to go into their shell (pun intended).

They seem to be the Jekyll and Hyde type. Beat IL and FL, almost beat Iowa. But have some bad losses. Overall, just happy to get the win. Wasn't perfect, but at risk of being overly simple... we outscored them both quarters, and did it on the road. I'll take it.

Yup. That's pretty much my thought as well. I won't pretend my BB IQ is high enough to be critical of Woody's choices right now, but I'd just like to see some of the other guys get more minutes given the production in various areas. And production aside, I simply would like to see a few of the younger guys get the minutes for development purposes.

Agree with all of that. I'm over simplifying, but I'd just prefer more combined minutes from Galloway, Bates, and Geronimo, and less from Kopp. I'd be fine with Kopp is he took, and made more 3s, but just not sure that's in the cards. Not sure if it's scheme, or him simply not moving great off the ball to open up.

I'm still pretty meh on Kopp as a starter.... That's about it... Either get him more 3 attempts, or reduce his minutes. His FT% is great, which I love, but he doesn't get fouled enough for that to matter. He's poor to mediocre in every other stat category aside from 3pt and FT...

Good game vs a mediocre team... I'll take it. Good stuff from TJD, Race, Galloway, and XJ. Good stuff from Bates too. Would have liked to see some Durr. Hope Phin isn't serious.

Welp, that sucks... Whenever you allow 65% 3pt%, and your bench in total scores under 10, rarely do you win.....Aside from Durr's 2-2, the rest of the bench was 2-15... Ouch... back to the lab again...

Not gonna act like I've ever want a slow start like that lol, but at least we went on a run late in the half to cut it down... Need a strong and fast start to the 2nd....
