Well, I see the usual suspects are right back to their old ways. That didn't last long.

      I read on the BBC feed that the US is being hit with a "catastrophic" storm. They must have thinking the entire country is as prepared as Atlanta.

Coach sticks to his rules. Is that a bad thing? He followed a guy (I'm not counting Dakich) who let the kids do everything and anything they wanted to. You saw where that got us. I really don't care if other coaches let kids get away with everything. If everyone else jumped off an overpass in front of a semi would you do it too?

  It's been said ad nauseum on forums that Remy broke some rules that resulted in his departure. Despite that coach and him are still on very good terms. iirc correctly Remy showed up at that clinic they have back in the fall. He's tweeted about his love for IU since leaving. He knows he messed up and he took it like a man and has moved on.    I haven't seen you here before but I think I've seen you on a forum or two where I know it has been discussed. I realize you might not have seen it before but it's old news and it is not something you can blame on coach.

    You seemed pretty put out that she received a tiny bit of special consideration. I told you to throw that hate at me. Now really, how is that being sensitive? You're the one who was outraged over nothing. I'd say you're being the sensitive one. I'll give you a hint, no one is immune to doing wrong in the eyes of the mods.  

Indymike7, don't blame the mods for the change in user status for Doc. I suggested it in a thread. They just went along with it. By all means, throw that hate at me for that one. I just thought it would be a very nice thing to do to show some appreciation to a lady who is willing to come on here overtly as a player's mom and discuss IU with us. Since you have such a problem with that would you be willing to tell us your real name to post? I'd say she's a very brave lady to do that simply because of posts like yours. I hope you don't drive her away. I'd rather read her posts than yours any day of the week.   

    I'm kind of meh on the subject. It was a marquee game but with ken$$ucky being so slimy I kind of hate even playing them. I dunno... What's everyone think about this? Should they kiss and make up or just say no?

Yikes! not a good time to have the furnace quit on you. It's still -10 here. It was -15 earlier this morning at my house.

It's not even 7 am yet (just past 6am) and I've already been up for 4 hours in eager anticipation of this game.

I think I'd try it then have to leave out of frustration/anger and not wanting to tear into anyone. Then I'd probably come back in a few months or so. This would be a never ending cycle. Doc, I hope it's not like that for you. Especially the anger/frustration part. Thanks for posting here. I know some have connections to the program but for guys like me reading someone like you on a message board will most likely be the closet I'll ever come to having one. It shouldn't be as bad next year but youth will still be a factor. It takes a few years for good recruiting classes to equate into experienced teams. CTC got the current sophomore team and the current freshman team then lots of people seemed to think that would mean instant success. As time goes on and he keeps getting good talent and some stay 3-4 years it will even out. Back in the old days most players stayed four years. Keeping consistency was an easier task. Now a coach recruits a kid who has a good year he's gone to the NBA. Even ken$$ucky Cal and all his money is finding it a bumpy road to travel. He had success but even top classes are struggling. Last year was awful for him. This year is better but they aren't the super team they were cracked up to be by any means. Give coach time to consistently get good recruits and get the system flowing. Yeah, I know that doesn't sit well with the instant gratification crowd.

Well, I'm not about to say that TC is anywhere near RMK for in game coaching. He is light years ahead of RMK on treating other people well and representing the university in a good light.  Bob Knight could out coach pretty much anyone. He did however have major issues in other areas.

CTC seems to be slow to make changes. I'm not sure what his philosophy is on that. I'm sure he has one. Probably wants to give it time to play out sort of thing...  I'll give an example though that might surprise a few. I sometimes see posters criticizing coach for not calling time outs soon enough. Our dear beloved Bob Knight was infamous for refusing to call a time out when there was a tv timeout waiting. I don't know how many times teams went on runs against us but he would not call a time out to stop the bleeding. Yeah, the HOFer did the same thing CTC does. He did however pull players for poor play much quicker than CTC. Nobody is perfect.

I'm hoping that for his own sake Jeremy has turned the corner and has began the journey to realize his full potential. I'm not sure he's there yet but his recent play is encouraging. Too many people kicking a kid when he's down, I hope he shows them all.

As a fan I want Noah to stay another year (at least). I'm not sure that fandom allows me to form a rational opinion on what I think he should do.

    Well, at least you're good for something. I can't even claim that much.
