Where will our transfers commit to?
FindEndNow replied to Hutch89's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
yes I think he should. I kind of think of it as a Harrison Barnes/Warriors situation. Barnes struggled when playing with the 2nd group but has thrived playing with the starters. I think it would have really tapped into his potential(which he had a CRAP ton of) and made him realize what he had. But he sat the bench a lot. -

people may not believe but I think it would have helped the team and Jeremy. To be able to play with that starting group then he would have been good. -

Sheehey didn't start during Hollowells freshman year. I think it should have been Yogi, Vic, Hollowell, Watford and Zeller. With Hulls, Sheehey and Elston the first 3 off the bench. I think it would have been best for Hollowell and the team. -

He is right. If they would have tried a little we would have had a better defense. -

Well I liked those 3. In fact I think Hollowell should have started his freshman year. I liked PJ because of his name plus he was a shot blocker (you can't teach timing) but was never healthy so we can't ever be mad at him. We also can't be mad at HMP because he did fairly well with what he was given his Junior year. He really didn't play at all his first two years and had to sit out games along with PJ. Hollowell sat out games that year too. -

Well because he wants minutes. Our Crean told him to leave. Our both. Still don't get Priller staying but it's whatever. I'd rather have April honestly. But then again when you think about it.. Hanner, PJ and Hollowell would be Seniors next year. -

It may only get you a participation trophy when only a couple people are actually trying. -

What did last year's team have to lose? They were awful anyways. -

D1 schools were coming after him while we were. We just decided that Hanner Perea and Colin Hartman could hold down the 5 perfect. -

Jeremiah April was our best center and best post offensive player. For one he was our only center. He also had the only part moves. Prilla shot a 3 maybe 2? Did he make one? And Hanner just caught dump offs. I saw Hanner do as many post moves as April in a season. April's looked more fluid. Was dumb to never play him. -

I still wish he stayed. He was easily our best post player offensively. -

Except there is no way he could have the stardom of Priller. -

Better chance he is able to go the route of a Seth Curry or Rayvonte Rice or others that will go 2 years at a small school and transfer to a big school. -

I'd like to see us hit each position. Bruce Brown, Rawle Alkins. Braxton Blackwell, De'Ron Davis and Joey Brunk. We know Yogi and Z are leaving. Good chance Troy leaves. JBJ is s question mark. We'll have transfers. That's automatic. We could have a 3-6 man class. -

Well it is ESPN. They will bump players up and down depending on where they commit. UVa is a top basketball school in their precious ACC. So I'm sure that helps out a few spots. -
Can we just take some time to remember how fun they were to watch? I know it didn't end how we wanted but that team had wins over GTown, Michigan twice, Michigan State twice, Ohio State, Minnesota, and Purdue twice. Was so awesome.
-
I remember getting torched by JT Yoho in HS when playing Eastern Greene. But we really really really sucked my Junior year lol. EG also had some other kid that was HUGE that year.
-
I didn't say they struggled playing. They struggled with dribbling before running.
-
they probably didn't. Just watching a game and you'll see it as consistent as carrying. Neither are called unless it is absolutely obvious.
-
That goes to the refs though. Need to be enforcing that starting in HS. Just a thing refs don't pay attention to.
-
all American players travel before dribbling. That's I'm HS, college and NBA. A reason you'll always see American players struggle with that in FIBA play or in the Olympics.
-
players should control the game. They're the ones on the floor.

you'd think all that noise would be able to get there eventually lol. -
I guess all those colleges outside of the US aren't able to do that... oh wait lol. The fact is that you can play whatever style you still want with a 24 second shot clock. And the average possession in the NBA is about 17 seconds while the average in college is about 18. But that extra 12 seconds allows for so much... we'll nothing to happen that it hurts the game.
