I am trying to keep my hopes in check..............I am failing. I am getting too excited. I haven't been this excited about IU basketball since the morning of the day we won conference out right for the first time in 20 years.

I need to this hire to happen for my IU fan psyche. I need it my fellow Hoosiers.

I said this before when his name first popped up and I will say it again. IU will hang a NC banner within 5 years of a Billy D hire. That is a statement hire. Make! It! F***ing! Happen!!!!!!!!!!

That is what really bugs me about the apologists. They act like those who want Crean and IU to move on expect FF and NC banners to be hung every year. No one with a brain thinks that. That is so unrealistic. We obviously know that are years where we simply aren't going to be as good as the other big dogs, but that doesn't mean we can't have a program that consistently finishes in the top 4 of the conference and is consistently a threat to make a run. We get that there will be a year here or there where we get bounced early in the tourney because of an upset. **** happens in one game formats, but we also know that we have a chance of making a run even in years where the talent isn't as deep because the team will improve as the season progresses. That is all I want. Consistency. I can't handle the peaks and valleys anymore. We shouldn't have to rely on NBA talent just making great individual plays to be consistent in this conference.

I'm so tired of the excuses. Here is a FB from someone who graduated from my HS. He is currently a HS basketball coach so to be fair he isn't a basketball dummy, but still " My 2 cents on Tom Crean and firing him. His players aren't good, aren't talented (outside of a couple), and they play with no heart. Yeah part of that is his fault, but what can a coach do when your big man, who was supposed to be a stud, is soft, your best scoring guard can't stay healthy, your leader goes down, and your best player plays a very shortened season. You take any other coach in NCAA and give them this team, they wouldn't make much of a difference. You're a year removed from losing on of the best PG's in school history and a wing that has produced in the NBA. Talent wins games, not just coaching. " I just don't get this after all we have seen the last 6 seasons.
