Huge Grizzlies fan here. I know we didn’t really recruit Desmond Bane out of high school but how the hell did Purdue, ND, or Butler also let him leave the state? The guy is awesome and one of the better pure shooters I’ve seen.

I personally am a big fan of Nate Oats but I am confused by a lot of the talk on here around him. Am I missing something I was under the impression that there was no way we would get him?

Moser's name would not even be mentioned right now had they lost to Illinois on Sunday. Seems like a really bad idea to hire another mid major flash in the pan especially one that has had even less sustained success than Archie did.

I highly doubt somebody in my graduation class (2020 it says it in his bio) has any sort of source on this. Also mentions that he thinks Trayce is a late first round pick and as much as I love Trayce as a player I have to disagree with that.

It doesn’t matter if he would coach circles around archie. Are we really going to even act like hiring a D2 coach is a remote possibility or going to bring us any sort of success? It would be the joke of all jokes if we hired a D2 basketball coach to come to IU it would be completely embarrassing. This thread shouldn’t exist.

If we go after Brad and we miss and we get Beard I would be ecstatic. I love Chris Beard and he’s one of the best coaches out there

I used to live in Memphis was supposed to work for the Grizz in ticket sales before the pandemic screwed that up. I'm a huge Grizz fan!

Yeah at this point it’s a big Wednesday night place because of quarter beers but other than that people just go depending on who’s playing that night

I don’t think it would be an issue there was never a bar I went to on a Tuesday, Thursday, or weekend that wasn’t packed but I’m not sure what it was like when you were there but Fridays now a lot of people are going out during the day to KOK and just end up staying there all night. It’s a ***** and a half to get a beer there on a Friday so you gotta be economical about it and buy 3 at a time haha

I believe because KOK and Sports are owned by the same people and KOK has Friday After Class on Fridays for $2 beers they don’t want to have Sports open at the same time to compete with themselves

To be fair I was a student at the time at the game and that was the first night of IUDM weekend so a lot of people around town were busy with that

Anthony Leal should have played no less than 15-20 minutes in that game and he got 4. He is a solid defender so there is no reason to keep him out for defense and a good shooter which we desperately need. That one was a real head scratcher.

We didn’t play hard and we haven’t consistently played hard since 2016. It’s gonna keep happening until leadership steps up whoever that is. I have been a die hard fan since I was a little kid and I’m not gonna stop but I’m also realistic about changes that need to be made and we gotta start winning games. We don’t go into games with a winning attitude we go into games hoping not to lose. We barely beat PSU, Maryland, and Nebraska I don’t know where we go from here and I’ve tried to be as positive as possible. If this season ends horribly next year isn’t going to be any better:(

I have been as supportive and positive as I can possibly be and I will support this team until the last game of the season every single year but it is time for some leadership in this program and I think that comes from an IU guy. We need an IU guy to lead this program or we need to go get Chris Beard. We need someone to light a fire under this ******* program. I am sick and ******* tired of watching teams lay down and ******* quit. I am sick of watching teams that dont ******* play hard. I would have killed to have the talent to put on the candy stripes and play in Assembly Hall and we have had 4 ******* years of guys that do not give a **** whether they win or lose and at this point that is on the leadership of the program.

Does anyone know if this game is actually going to happen? I keep seeing posts online about how we need to bounce back Sunday but Nebraska already cancelled a game earlier this week are we going to be able to play that game?

I started this thread just to see if the game was going to be played because I had not seen anything about it and Nebraska had cancelled against Purdue. Did not intend it to be a "let's talk about covid thread" haha

Love to see that! Let's beat their @$$ and build some confidence. This team is getting there and looking like they're improving every night!

Personally I’d rather us not play the game Sunday if it’s going to risk us missing our games next weekend which are much bigger.
