Anything to look for in Pearl during tonight's Auburn @ Tennessee game? Should be a great game
-
@ Maryland @ Minnesota vs. Michigan State My guess is this slight win at home over a sinking team will soon be forgotten

Not sure how personally involved Owens is in Notre Dame’s recruitment of Sisley, Haralson and Mullins…… I assume very involved… I certainly like the sound of that

If this falls through and we're left disappointed again..... I think Mr. Pfau or Carl Cook should fund a blowout BTB happy hour party with the money they saved as compensation for the time we spent refreshing the board every few minutes

I don't disagree. But also think some of our other top candidates mentioned are just as slimy or slimier

Just crazy to me that Purdue hasn't been outside of the KenPom Top 25 since 2015. And we haven't been IN the KP Top 25 since 2016. Needless to say........ we've gotta figure this out.

Bad news……. I’ve officially gotten my hopes up. Entering the IUBB Danger Zone ™️

A couple weeks ago I was wondering if this thread would get to 300 pages by the end of the season. We might be looking at 500, fellers. Maybe more! The Pitchfork Hoosiers know no limits

Quote from Dolson in a new article about Curt Cignetti: ““The decision for us [to fire Allen and hire Cignetti] was really looking at, ‘What’s the trajectory of our program right now and where’s the trajectory of football in the Big Ten?’” Dolson said. “With expansion and all that is happening in terms of football in the Big Ten, it became not ‘What is the cost of making the change?’; it was, ‘What is it going to cost us if we don’t make the change?’” https://t.co/BAUJCfvLfg

Agreed. But if we fire Woody and hire Kenya blanking Hunter as the permanent HC for winning a few inspired games.... Hinkle Fieldhouse will have a new season ticket holder next season.....
-
Agreed. I think it all depends on ego. Are you willing to take a risk to become a legend at a starved basketball school by restoring their sleeping giant program to glory? Or are you content with making big bucks as a second fiddle (if that) in the shadows in Tuscaloosa? Certainly couldn't blame anyone for choosing Option #2. But in a profession where there are bigger egos than ever...... who knows

I tend to agree. I think he's a Grade A Pr!ck but at this point, I'd be okay with hiring Ivan the Terrible if he'd win

Totally agree!

Right!!!! I almost mentioned the 2011 Round of 32 Pitt game along with Old Dominion. Was pulling for my hometown Dawgs but couldn't help but think Pitt got jobbed. Shouldn't have put themselves in that situation, but still...... This is why I don't like judging resumes just based on how deep someone has gone in the tourney. Need to look into the context and dig a little deeper

I totally agree, and this is TOTALLY apples to oranges, but the same could be said about (our lord and savior) Brad Stevens. Not just from an IU lens, but I've always wondered how much differently he'd be perceived if BU lost to 13-seeded Murray State in the 2010 Round of 32 (54-52 win) or in the 2011 1st Round Matt Howard buzzer beater vs. Old Dominion (60-58 win). Point being, I'm not saying you're wrong, but saying it's interesting how often things like this actually happen. Archie beat O$U by 1 point in the 1st Round in his Dayton Elite Eight year. Do we hire him if O$U wins that game?

What's frustrating to me is all these people saying Indiana fans think they're bluebloods and have unrealistic expectations. This isn't even close to true. We aren't asking to be Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Kansas. We just want to be as consistent as Wisconsin, Virginia, Texas, Baylor, and *gasp* Purdue. Consistently in the tournament, usually a 4-6 seed, occasionally in contention to make a deep run. We aren't asking for the world. Hopefully someone can get us there soon.
