Drop foot syndrome.

Oh, for sure, they can be beaten. I would love to see them play Michigan, especially if Livers was playing. Even without Livers, could be a good game.

What I really like about Gonzaga is you seldom see players not moving or just standing while dribbling like they don't know what to do next. This team has great awareness and vision... and game management/understanding.
-
Yeah...I knew he has a thing for fly fishing and the NW. I fully understand why he's stayed where he is. As you've said many times before...not everyone is motivated by obtaining more $$$.

Gonzaga plays the game the way I'd like to see IU play. Players have high IQ, all can handle the ball well, shoot with confidence, and understand what the coach wants and expects. Few really is an excellent coach and teacher.

The Big10 was overrated, it would seem. -
Nice to see someone remembers. Not surprised by who. Smile.

Loyola matches up well to Illinois. Making the Illini work hard at both ends of the floor. Loyola up 10...4:57 first half -

Have to admit...they're playing well...look well coached. -
Fairly late last night through the regular "leaked info" insiders here and HSN. I believe Peegs may have picked it up first, but not certain on that.

Let's hope.

Candidate Thread: Brad Stevens (Boston Celtics)

That possibility...Ainge retiring and Stevens upgraded makes sense in this scenario of do I stay or go. JMHO -
There's no doubt that Beard checks off a great many of the boxes. The Texas family factor, style of offense and possibly his buyout are the only concerns I've heard.

That's a shame. -
Candidate Thread: Nate Oats (Alabama)

Pitino/Iona giving Oats/Alabama a good fight. Iona down 2 at half. -
I keep trying to figure out which guys are the next top coaches-in-waiting? It's difficult because so much of college bb looks like crap to me. That makes me wonder about the men teaching the game...at all levels, frankly.
-
Yeah...2 NCAA titles... and you have to imagine that he's been approached and turned down offers. As you say, he's got a good thing going at Villanova.
-
Yeah...I just wanted to see what others thought. He really does value basketball IQ. Nova is a fun team to watch.

Candidate Thread: Scott Drew (Baylor)

I like Wright and how his teams play. I would make him the same offer made to Stevens in a heartbeat. He's an east coast urban big city guy, which is probably the biggest hurdle...sorry Bloomington. But he can obviously recruit, coach, win. You make the ask/offer and see what he says. -
My guess is that he likes living, working in an large urban area, ie. Philly and that B-town might be a large hurdle.
-
So, we're just kicking around names here, right? Offer Jay Wright the same deal and see what he says. He's an east coast guy and probably says no thanks. But he's a really good coach and his teams play fast, flowing, shooting offense. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Yeah...I'm going to tamp down any excitement left from last night. It feels really premature this morning. -
In honor of Saint Patty's Day...a familiar tune...for Mr. Ainge. Oh, Danny Boy...the fans, the fans are calling, To fire Brad...and send him packing home. The Celtic myth... has died and shots aren't falling. It's you, it's you...must do this now...alone.
