Probably the best move on their part if they are. I mean think about it, he could have suspended them for 6 games and you and other wouldn't cut him a break. It still wouldn't be enough, they wouldn't have proven that they are responsible yet, etc etc etc. Meanwhile, the people who are in the middle of the road will be bellyaching that we are losing games, maybe harming our post-season chances, and generally joining you on the unhappy side. This way, at least he's only making the people who are mad at him madder.

I don't understand how you think you're saying something different than me.  Last year Ohio State didn't play Michigan State in the regular season because we're a split division conference. Ohio State did get to play Michigan State in the championship (they reunited some might say). They would not have done so without the championship game. That would be sad. That's all I'm saying.

It's not. Except that now that we divide the conference so everyone doesn't play everyone, there is a greater chance of two teams facing off who previously did not and would not otherwise.

It's just too much for College ball. That adds three more games to their season.

But there's a difference in what can happen in the strategies. Waiting and having an orderly transition when we've already selected a new coach means we're less likely to lose as many players and recruits. Arm everyone with waivers and uncertainty in November and I doubt anyone will remain for 2015.

I think the meeting was about switching apparel companies to Jordan Brands. If we don't hear anything, it's because we aren't truly listening, or whatever the lesson was in "Horton Hears a Who". Oooo or maybe Johnny Marlin is coming back to be a starter!

Really? You'd be that upset that your kids watched pot smokers play sports? Or shook his hand? Better keep him away from all professional sports players, comedians, 90% of college students, any retail or fast food worker, and probably 50% of people under 30 in professional positions. I mean, they were smoking dope not slinging crack. It would be like worrying about interacting with people who drink/drank underage. I don't support what they did, I think when you're in a fish bowl and given an opportunity like this you have a higher standard than the kids around you. But, come on.

If you think the program is anywhere near where it was after Sampson, then you need to look back and remember/read what the program was actually like back then. I don't know when you put your years in, but it would take a couple more weeks as bad as this last one before we're back in that territory. 

But remember you can only change it once a year! So, if you change it to like a popular recruit's name and he doesn't come then you have to make a whole new profile.
