I agree, he has things he needs to improve but he has been improving over the past few years. It's slow, but even through the last year he's getting better. He needs to drill basic fundamentals until they're so second nature he can move as fast as his vision of the court is. I think people have been working too hard on his more advanced movements and he needs to get the basics down first. Most of his problem is his body can't keep up with how fast he's thinking.

I hate when these games end up like this. The whole goal is to finally see these players against real competition.

I would say so. The goal of self-imposed sanctions is to mitigate any damages from loss of institutional control. I mean, how can they say you had no control?!? You just sanctioned them! So, if you feel like you need to keep piling on then there is likely a reason.

Playing limited minutes for a very young team. Believe me, I'm a local, I am very familiar with Vonleh's current situation. I'm very happy it worked out, but it should not be the model for anyone. He had a lot of things happen at exactly the right time. And yeah, he was expected to go top 10 and did. How does that change that TB is not expected to go top 10? If Vonleh took years to get into a favorable (but far from the best available) position as a top 10 pick, what does that tell us about a player projected 10 picks behind him?

Vonleh was also projected higher. And serves as a good warning that the D-leagues are possible for undeveloped players even when they're higher picks.

I can't find the app thread. I figured out the iOS not getting rid of unread problem! There were unread posts up thread! So there were still unread posts somewhere. And hitting the mark as read in the app doesn't register them as really read like the computer. That's why the problem went away as everyone gradually gave up and hit "mark site as read" at some point. If only I could fix Twitter.
