Sounds like a good idea, but I don't know how well it would do. I guess it will be one of those things I'll have to see first. I just don't seem them drawing away a large group of the McDonalds all americans. Even during the years when players could go straight to the draft out of high school, it seemed that only about 3 or 4 McDonalds All Americans would make the jump to the pros every year. Money talks I guess. Because it is so obscure right now I just don't see it working out. This thing is going to require ALOT of money to get top level European clubs to come over to the US and play as well.

And for all I care, Purdue can have him. They still have no point guard and won't get as easy of a schedule next year like they had this last year. Overrated in my opinion

I think something that hasnt been looked at is that maybe Izzo sniffed something funky going on with Swanigan and got out of it. Kind of like the Cliff Alexander situation all over again. MSU was leading with Alexander all the way till announcement day and then Alexander had all sorts of NCAA problems during the season. Made me think of this article; http://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/michigan-state/spartans/2015/03/10/tom-izzo-michigan-state-recruiting/24709699/

Im reading at a lot of places that he is thinking Cal. They have Rabb and just got Jaylen Brown and originally their plan was the play together.

Just because someone is tall and athletic doesn't mean they are a 1st round pick in the NBA. There are literally thousands of basketball players that re tall and athletic that are playing in the D league or playing someone else in the world. Jurkin has been hurt since his sophomore/junior year of high school. He just had bad knees/legs. Perea has all the athletic ability in the world, but doesn't seem to have the self motivation to use it to the full extent. The coaches can do all they can with kids, but if the players don't work on their own time and have the desire to be the best they can be, they will achieve nothing.

They are in the works to turn it into a yearly thing but I haven't heard it confirmed yet

Devin Davis 8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.4 turnovers, 1.2 assists, 0.6 blocks, 0.6 steals in 21.4 minutes per game. 14-of-18 field goals (77.8 FG%, 77.8 eFG%), 12-of-20 FT (60%) He had one REALLY impressive game but also disappeared in a one or two of them. For example in their first game of the Canada trip he had 16 rebounds in 19 minutes. But the next night he had only 3 rebounds in 22 minutes. Crean's biggest takeaway from the Canada trip was Devin's potential and the need for consistency

I think we match up well with them, and they lost Grant so I like our chances. It will be a good game this year

2015 Transfers and Early Entries
bnkepner replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Too many people these days feel super entitled to something they haven't even worked for. I thought Max had a lot of potential but also thought his ego was massive. Its the ESPN generation. Kids do their dumb live announcement to where they are going to school, if they are staying in school, and transfer as soon as they learn they actually have to work and compete for something. Thats not just MAx, thats the majority of college athletes -
Calipari a little nervous after missing out on all those top recruits?

My comment had nothing to do with him being a McDonalds AA…. -
As a Pacers fan I keep cringing that a lot of Pacers fans are begging for the Pacers to draft this idiot

(2015) SG LaGerald Vick to Kansas

Kentucky doesn't care now, they spent the last couple of weeks chasing a JUCO recruit and a 3 star wing. They would probably start Priller if they had him right now -

I was just about to say the same thing about Skal. His case is still under investigation with the NCAA and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets declared ineligible. -
He showed some great ability in a game or two from Canada, but also showed some inconsistency. One game he had 16 rebounds in 19 minutes, but the next game had 3 rebounds in 22 minutes. It is too bad that he went through what he did last year because he would've been able to grow so much last year.

Man I don't remember the last time I actually heard it called a "sweatband" hahah But no, I don't see OG using a "sweatband" when he comes here. Lots of players we have used to use headbands, arm sleeves, arm bands, etc and don't anymore. I personally don't think its that big of a deal that the IU program wants some sort of unity and uniformity. Plus I'm pretty sure it has been addressed that they are too many factors involved to let players do so. Everything has to be matching, etc.

I understand that their new assistant is a personal friend of Ed Smith and of Thon to some degree but the situation at ASU lends itself very well as well. He can walk in at any time of the season and be the man from day one and get the majority of offense through him. If he goes to IU, Kansas, or UK he has a lot more work ahead of him to get playing time (especially if he comes in halfway through the season). ASU isn't near as competitive as the other three teams so like I said, it would be very easy for him there. I am starting to think he just doesn't go to college at all and he just stays at Orangeville for a year of prep school then goes to the NBA. I think he is going to want to keep his "mysterious" status because the couple times he has been in the national spotlight of the last few months, he has disappointed.
-
He won't delay until next year. He is going to graduate around August. If he doesn't end up going to college for the spring semester, he'll just go to the NBA
-
I think his recruitment has been so strange that him wanting to start school in december/january was the last straw for a lot of high profile teams. ASU is still interested cause they have nothing to lose
-
Yeah I understand. I guess I just don't understand why people have been counting Gordon out since the beginning then get surprised when he doesn't really include us on his list. I definitely take Rawle out of the two but Gordon isn't far behind
-
He did outscore Alkins in their head to head matchup within the last month. Gordon is good. Not Eric good but he is still a great player.

(2016) PG C.J. Walker off the board

No big loss. I saw him play this last year and he was a good player, but not on IUs level really -
(2015) JUCO SG Mychal Mulder to UK

Cals options are limited. He has struck out on most of the recruits he was after. Zimmerman and Diallo being two big names he was all in on. Maker has also seemed to have cooled on them -
(2016) SF Miles Bridges to MSU

Not if you read what Bryant said about our recruiting. We were the ones recruiting him the hardest. Syracuse fell off his map long before the academic problems. -

He was at Hoosier Hysteria this last year
