Kaminsky is going to play the four. Like I said, when they were the Bobcats they made the playoffs with McRobberts as a stretch four and Big Al down low. McRobberts was easily their best player that year and led them to the playoffs. Kaminsky can easily come and and do what McRobberts did two years ago. Kaminsky will be able to draw defenders out and shoot the ball, he can also post up smaller defenders. I don't think Kaminsky will be a superstar but I think he will be a solid starter down the line. What does Pau Gasol have to do this?

I think the Kaminsky pick was excellent for the Hornets. People forget that Josh McRobberts had a career year for them two years ago and helped lead them to the playoffs. Kaminsky is going to play the same role, but with more talent. The whole Vonleh situation is interesting because essentially the Hornets coach said that Vonleh came out too early. They said he could barely grasp the playbook and was mostly lost on the court.

Bo is a great coach. Even if he hasn't won any Div 1 national championships, he gets a lot out of his teams. The last few years he is starting to get some really talented recruits as well. I've always respected the heck out of him and his teams. Side note: Can someone combine the two threads started about the same topic?

I'm worried about in-state recruiting.
bnkepner replied to FKfootball's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Well as far as football goes, IU has never had any big success in football, so its hard to sell the program to recruits. Wilson has had marginal success. Not all his fault because he has dealt with injuries but when the surrounding area schools have more of a history of success, its easier to get recruits buy in. What are other recognizable sports? Football and Basketball. The baseball team seems to recruit very well and doesn't struggle for recruits, same with mens soccer. -

Troy showed flashes last year, but he hasnt lived up to the hype yet. I only disagree with Verdell Jones being so high. He was the human turnover -

There was JUST a thread about this that died a week ago. We understand people aren't happy with his in state recruiting but that horse has been beat to death about ten times -
If you have any other videos, please share. Holt looks like he has gotten a lot more muscular! Good work

The NBA Draft is coming up quick.

Same thing happened with the Spurs and Pacers years ago when we picked Kawhi Leonard for them and we got George Hill -
Who do u resemble when playing hoops.
bnkepner replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My nickname in basketball is Splash so I'll say I resemble the the Splash Brothers. Don't give me an open three and you better be right in my face when you guard me, even then ill still probably hit the shot. I probably play more like Klay, 3s and a nice midrange jumper -

Larry doesn't have the greatest track record though. He does have Granger, Paul George, and Stephenson but then again he also picked Miles Plume, Tyler Hansborough, and Shawne Williams amongst others. He has been hit or miss but when Larry hits in the draft, its a darn good player -
Weak Indiana HS Senior Class

Except I know a kid from the top 2017 AAU team(featuring several players at the top of the 2017 class) and he keeps saying how much they all really like Crean. 2016 class is only around the corner -

I don't see the hype with Booker either. Through their cupcake schedule in the beginning he shot lights out, but at the end of the season his shooting numbers continuously fell. He can't create his own shot -

Colin Hartman may be similar height wise but thats where all comparisons should stop. Green is a better shooter, defender, passer, is tougher. Like I said, besides their height, I don't see any similarities. I LOVE Draymond Green's playing and style -
Warriors! Warriors! Warriors!

Love that the Spurs and Warriors show that team basketball wins. Lebron had a great series (still cries way too much though). Glad to see the Warriors win -

The Pacers don't have a say in the matter. Its a player option so Hibbert has all the decision making power. That said Im hoping he decides to leave. -

Rudy Fernandez had himself a nice little career in the NBA. I followed his short career and he never really got the playing time he deserved. Thats why he gave the middle finger to the NBA and went back to Europe where he is one of the top 5 players in Europe. -

Lyles will not go that high. Within the last week or two his stock seems to falling more and more according to the experts. Ive been hearing that he will drop to the lower part of the first round. -

2016 and 2017 are shaping up to be two of the best years in recruiting over the whole nation and for Indiana as well. We are in good shape with a lot of good recruits for 2016 and 2017 looks to be one of the best years from Indiana prospects, who we are also on good terms with -

No way. It would still be where it was. Love wasn't playing that great this year. With Kyrie, Lebron wouldn't be scoring as much. There would've been a game 7 if the Cavs wouldve had Love and Kyrie but I still think the Warriors are the best team in the playoffs and would've won. -

Even kids during Knight's years went other players. Tons of winner of the Mr Basketball went elsewhere. -
Weak Indiana HS Senior Class
bnkepner replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This topic comes up every couple of months, it gets old quick. Crean has done a better job of landing in state talent than Mike Davis did. Crean makes it more of a priority. Besides Swanigan (who isn't even from Indiana originally) there was really no one in state to get this year. There are players that we all would've loved to have had here over the years and I think Crean has tried to recruit everyone in state as much as possible. Fact is that there are kids who simply don't dream of playing at IU and thats how its always been. When Knight was here there were plenty of Indiana All Stars and Mr Basketballs who didn't want to come here. Interestingly enough I went to hear Knight speak a year or so ago and he said one of his biggest regrets is not leaving this area to go recruit more out of state kids. -
So let me get this, the summary of the last few pages of this thread is that 1) Jeremiah April was a best post player last year and 2) Jeremy Hollowell should've started as a freshman on a team that was consistently ranked no. 1 without even earning it. Man some of you guys need to put down whatever you are taking and get out and get some air hahaha
