(2016) SG Eron Gordon to Seton Hall
bnkepner replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Gordon is a natural scorer. Scoring more points than the other team wins games. Soooooo I think he would be more than a good pickup for us. He is not Evan. -
Peegs is really scraping the bottom of the barrel for info then because he has been down to four schools for awhile!

(2016) SG Rawle Alkins to Arizona
bnkepner replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I still think its too soon to make that decision. I mean if you've seen Rawle play in person a handful of times, Ill believe you. But as we've seen with Blackmon…high school stats and college stats are a whole different game -
That was until he went down with a season ending injury. I highly doubt he declares now. I don't see many teams taking a chance on a rookie that barely played half the season and thats coming off an ACL tear. They did with Nerlens Noel but McCullough hasn't received as much hype

Geez...No reason for personal attacks. -
Most Feared/Most Anticipated NCAA Opponents...
bnkepner replied to Bryan Medema's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Yeah VCU doesn't scare me. Somehow they are ranked 16th even though they haven't really played anybody this year. They have played a few ranked teams but only won 1 game against a ranked team. Overrated in my book. Also North Carolina doesnt scare me either. Another overrated team -

Can he shoot the 3 like EJ? I haven't seen a player just take over a game like EJ did when he was here. He literally carried that years team on his back the whole year -

That doesn't add anything to the conversation…. -
The funny thing is after a big win the classic line is always about the next four game being big or scary. Before we played Illinois it was the same. Now we are 2-0 so far in this 4 game stretch

Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets

He is getting lots of playing time to the be the man at UNC. I think he is a super raw player. Has the athleticism, but not a lot else -

BYU needs some love! They are no national powerhouse but they are kind of like Butler used to be, they get a lot out of nothing. I have followed them for years. -
(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
bnkepner replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Someone I do hope IU looks at though is Antoine Davis, Mike Davis' youngest son. He is a freshman in high school. Ive seen some video of him playing and the kid looks like he is going to be a a really good player -
(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
bnkepner replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Looks like he is going to be a lot bigger than C-Wat. More of an inside presence. Need to see more video before I get all ga ga though -
Except he'll have a few guys in front of him at Syracuse. Chris McCullough is going to be back next year as a sophomore and he is basically the same player as Bryant. McCullough was averaging 28mpg as a starter as a freshman. So Bryant will have to compete with him. Whereas at IU he would most likely be the main big.

That would be sweet! But the game wouldn't be on "our" court. At least thats how I understand it by looking at the bracket

it was a typo I meant "high school" involved . Nothing wrong with North Central -
(2017) SF Kris Wilkes to UCLA
bnkepner replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
This last week ESPN released their latest rankings list of the top 25 recruits of the class of 2017. Kris Wilkes is number 17. Listed as the top recruit from the state of Indiana for the class and is the only kid from Indiana in the top 25 list -
(2017) PG Paul Scruggs to Xavier
bnkepner replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Also it was interesting to see that Scruggs fell out of the top 25 for the 2017 class in the latest ESPN rankings. Kris Wilkes from the same AAU team as Scruggs and Gunn is now at number 17 -

Hopefully he looks at what happened to Teague long term as well. Teague went to Kentucky and ended up as a scrub at the end of the bench in the NBA. Heck now he is in the D league -
(2016) SG Eron Gordon to Seton Hall
bnkepner replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
This is honestly one of the wackiest stories Ive read in a long time. It makes the high schools involved and the IHSAA look like a circus. In the long run I think this hurts Gordon more than just this year. His recruitment is most likely going to suffer because of this -
I think if there is anything we have learned throughout this year is that Crean knows what he is doing. He knows how to work his lineups, he has proved that. So whatever he goes with will be the best for the squad. I think its good to know now that if Hanner starts, Hartman can back him up and vice versa. I think Hanner slowly works his way back when he starts playing again. So I wouldn't be surprised to see Hartman still starting and Hanner slowly getting minutes back but eventually I see Hanner as the starter
