Not an excuse. But Hanner has proved that he shoulve been about a 2 star coming out of high school. And Williams decides he wants to play once every 6 or 7 games
-
I was being sarcastic at your point about Maryland. No reason to be a jerk
-
You said you can't pin the missed free throw on Yogi because of all the other possessions, but at some point the players have to be held accountable for their mistakes as well. The coach makes TONS of mistakes and he is certainly held accountable but everyone gives a free pass to players that take plays off and don't play with their heart. My ego? Has nothing to do with it
-
Well there is a lot of different, Maryland wins games and is ranked. We have lost 8 of 12 and are not ranked…those are differences haha.
-
What about Yogi losing his man on D most of the game?
-
oh you mean after the first 5 games of the Big Ten? hahah
-
I definitely agree, but there are things that no coach can control. Yogi missing a free throw, Id like to see the spin on how the was the coaches fault. Players losing sight of their man. Those two things are what kill us and those are on players. I agree that its time for a coaching change, but we can't just let the players go off easy.

Im not justifying anything. Did I mentioned Creans name in my post…NO! Don't put words in my mouth (my post) Im just saying last year and this year we were expected to be bad then people act surprised when we are a bad team. Granted this year IU came out like gang busters. Im not a Crean supporter but we can't all of a sudden pretend that we were supposed to win the Big Ten or something. Thats just ludicrous.

He works with the Kansas football team and he was wearing his IU gear and FREAKING out when we were hitting shots. Je'Ney looked like the most excited person during the game. Doubt he was recruiting for Kansas underneath it all. Come on people
-
Thats been the template for the last two YEARS
-
Its honestly just as much on the players. When you don't hustle and don't pay attention to your man, you aren't going to win ball games. When you miss free throws (gimmes) you aren't going to win games.
-
Yeah Je'Ney was there with his IU gear on.
-
Promising season? They were picked to finish towards the bottom of the Big Ten
-
Dakich said what many have been saying all year, the only sense of urgency and defensive pressure come in the last minute of a game. If we pressed and played that hard on D all game, we wouldn't have had this huge slide at the end of the year. The only thing that will save Crean is if Bryant or Thon decide they want to come here.
-
Bryant was definitely into the game. He was wearing an IU shirt and clapping along with the hype the whole game. Je'Ney Jackson was at the game and sat next to Bryant and the Makers the whole game. Bryant looking into it and it looked like a good sign to me

Please get those going!!!! -
Most likely not. If Crean isn't here, I don't see Thon or Bryant coming. They have ties with Martin and with Crean. We've been recruiting Thon since before Martin was even here
-
True Cody was big for the culture. I had to look up EJ's ranking. Wow, I didn't know how was the 2nd overall recruit that year. I love Cody and some of the big recruits we've brought in. But Thon would be huge here
-
Its been confirmed that he is on campus with his brother Matur. IF we land Thon, could it be said that he would be the biggest recruit to ever sign with IU?

Get in good with Matur as well, he may be in the shadow of his brother (in more than one way) a bit but he can flat out play as well! -

Reading into it too much. Same thing happened with DocLibby's post yesterday. She made the same sort of comment about the last game in the Hall and people lost it thinking she meant Yogi was gone after this year. She came back and clarified later. Don't read too much into these posts by the players -
I think Bryant's visit has more to do with the recent Syracuse news and Maker had said even this last week that he wanted to visit IU so I don't think this is a desertion move. Both had plans to visit, just happened to be this weekend haha
-
I could quickly change my tune on Crean if we land Bryant and Maker!
-
Important to remember that Fischer is an IU employee so he is not going say anything that isn't on the script
-
Okay we get the picture that you don't like Dakich, his show, his commentary, etc. We got it!
