From everything I heard before we played them this year, they were predicted to compete to win their conference and go to the tournament this year.
-
They struggled to beat the almighty Northeastern today
-
Besides the Iowa St game, my bracket is going smoothly

Sean Miller already turned the job down back when we hired Crean, and IU went after him pretty hard. So I just don't see him leaving Arizona for IU. He is getting all the recruits he wants there so he probably wouldn't want to leave that
-
They lost in the first round of the tourney

(2015) JUCO PF Ray Kasongo
bnkepner replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
"He averaged 6.1 points and 4.7 rebounds during the season." Doesn't bode well for Mr. Kasongo -
This is definitely OT but…..If run and gun is running fast up court and setting up a half court offense, then yes we have some sort of run and gun offense but after hearing Crean going on and on about out running teams and running them to death Ive rarely actually seen anything resembling a run and gun offense this year.

From what Ive heard, he had a few players break some team rules and whatnot, and he kicked them off the team

Potential fallout from coaching change
bnkepner replied to HoosiersLoveBanners's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Out of all the articles I found none mentioned Izzo, one mentioned that Calipari "might" be interested but at the time most schools were still unsure what was going to happen with the recruiting mess at Memphis (the Derrick Rose situation was a hot button issue then), and one article mentioned Pitino being interested but it turned out to be an article written as an April Fool's joke. I just think with the situation Crean entered, no one really wanted it. If you go through sites like Inside the Hall and read the articles with interviews, etc. about who was actually interested in the job, there weren't a lot. IU's wish list started with Tony Bennet and Sean Miller and they both turned it down rather quick so that says something. -

Have any articles to back that up? Ive heard those rumors but never found any articles or interviews where they stated their interested. Just articles with rumors or hearsay but nothing definitive. In the end Im glad we never got any of the three. Id rather be where we are now than have any of those three as the coach -
In other words if they those players were good enough to be in this years draft…they would list them in this years mock draft. Hence at the beginning of the season Troy was listed in several 2015 mock drafts but as his play started to slip he fell lower and lower on those mocks until he fell out of the 2015 mocks all together. It happens to players all the time. The example you used of McCullough, he is still listed as a pick in several 2015 mocks. They don't list these players and don't expect them come out because they aren't ready or they would list them no matter what.
-
If he goes this year he won't be draft. I already said it but if you search all the recent mock drafts Troy's name doesn't appear on any of them and its already the end of the year, so that doesn't bode well

Potential fallout from coaching change

I think it was really easy for coaches like Pitino, Izzo, and Calapari to say that they were interested in the job afterwards. Those guys consistently turned down NBA jobs at the same time so I doubt they were THAT interested in the IU job. Plus, even though those guys are great at what they do…I don't know if I coudve stood having them as a coach. Pitino and Izzo look like lunatics on the sideline and Calapari is a slime ball. Idk how many coaches were lining up for the job when Crean got the job. Crean wasn't even IU's first choice. Tony Bennett (IU's top choice) and Sean Miller(second choice) turned down the job. If they turned down the job I highly doubt Pitino, Izzo, and Calipari were dying to coach the team. -

Yeah his presser about IU he seemed ticked off the whole time -
Troy is not in any of the mock drafts for next year. Not even as a second round pick…Troy is not going to the NBA after this season

Im LDS (Mormon). Never really been a big fan of BYU the school but I really enjoy watching their team. They are always entertaining and play great basketball
-
Well the HIGH majority of their recruits are Mormon kids from Utah and Arizona so it isn't a tough sell to them. They don't really recruit anyone else but Mormon kids, and most of them are already lined up to play for BYU without much recruitment
-
Their recruiting and how they manage their roster with the missions of the players is awesome. They always have firepower coming in
-
Im sure you already know this but Lone Peak High School in Utah was the best high school squad in the nation a few years ago and pretty much the entire starting 5 committed to BYU and are all on their missions right now. Plus BYU snagged a recruit from Ohio St who is also currently on a mission as well. BYU is a good squad

Id take Haws and Collinsworth in a heart beat. Collingsworth has more heart than anyone not named Yogi on our team!
-
He is the head women's basketball coach at the University of Arkansas. Google is your friend ;)
-
That game was painful. I had to stop watching after a bit. I thought I was watching a high school game
-
The Hampton vs Manhattan game is pretty painful to watch
-
And every other talented high school basketball player in the state of Indiana

Still their wins and games with him should be vacated hence making them ineligible for post season play. But of course the NCAA isn't that smart
