UofL fans used to humorously chant “beat Purdue” during their home games because of a past cheerleader error. The story goes back to a home game against whoever, not Purdue though. The cheerleaders would hold signs that would direct the fans to chant “Beat” “Tulane”. The cheerleader inadvertently held up beat Purdue. The fans would then chant beat Purdue every time the cheerleaders would hold up the sign during any game. This lasted for several years. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
