(2016) SG Grant Gelon commits to IU

Looks like we should have kept him -
Right, but didn't we come back with that proposal and Cal still said no because "they already had Portland scheduled"?They just don't want to play us because they feel they have nothing to win, but everything to lose. F em, happy to be the ones to take them out of the NCAA, again.

I enjoyed the hell out of that game! Take a moment and just realize this is who we are. I did not think we would be at 11-1 at this point. Possible but not likely in my head. We get home with our crowd in the hall and put it on Arkansas and we should be ranked. The 2nd half was a bit frustrating with our guards literally not hitting TJD with a scrub guarding him... Multiple times! And I'm not looking forward but I can't help but feel good about next year. We basically lose Green, and gain shooters and athleticism along with a roster of player development.

Man, listening to coach in post game sure does make me feel better. He knows what the weaknesses are, he takes blame, he wishes he did a couple things differently. These are good qualities to have. He's very grounded. I still think he was the right hit. This program is stuck because we don't give anyone time (or Sampson gate). Y'all lost ur minds trying to run Archie off already. We can't operate like, hang a banner in 8 or get out. We're in the tourney this year. TJD is better than Romeo, our 3pt pct is up, our free throws are up, the overall defense is better. Steady hand.
-
Bybee... Interesting. He does seem very calm and collected and maybe able to handle pressure. Then just go get lost in the offense. Honestly, that's Damezi's role but.. he isn't hitting at a good enough rate.

Im just watching Devonte on the bench during these recaps just sitting down while everyone else is up and celebrating. That's the reality. It's always going to be the team, and then Devonte. Nothing has changed from last year. He'll be useful in spurts but I wouldn't give him major minutes unless he's focused. Nothing against Devonte, the person. He'll go off a few times for us this season, and will also nearly give games away.

This isn't last year, Smith is steady as a rock now.

That last exchange with Franklin and TJD was a thing of pure beauty. And I'm so happy for Damezi to basically save the game for us. Oh and Rob, so glad ur back.
-
I'd love to flex on Nebraska and just hit 100
-
Or not..
-
TJD for 5 mins
-
I was just about to say missed free throw and offensive rebound, husker lead lol

Lmfaoooooo

Wow Damezi....... Wow....
-
TJD... Not one of these dudes are going to stop you. TAKE OVER
-
Could use Damezi if we're just gonna shoot wide open 3s. Hunter needs more time
-
Oh cool, the Devonte show boat fest. Sit him the rest of the game. Garbage basketball
-
I still feel like we end up bearing the brakes off them by the flags
-
You were 50k in debt, and refinanced, and paid off 50k in one year ...... Rriiighhttt....
-
TJD can really rock a hoop

Jerome Hunter really settled in there for a while and looked great. He should be good to go in another month of action. That last Durham drive was a thing of beauty. That needs to be his game. That's his move. And so nice to see Phinisee back in the saddle. His conditioning held up better than I thought. A Phinisee, Green, Franklin, Smith, TJD lineup could absolutely dismantle an opposing offense. -

I'm not sure I know what ur referring to. I'm watching the replay and Vital was going for the steal, Devonte grabbed it and Rob was standing wide open 5 feet from him just having knocked down 2 big throws. Vital knowing he missed, grabbed Devonte for an easy foul save but, Devonte could have easily handed that off too. It was hero mode. -

Goodness gracious. No one wanted to win this game... What an odd game. Was the humidity at 99% in the gym? Bumbling basketball. Also, I'm happy for win but something is driving me crazy. While Brink was going off, he would be 4 foot from rim pivoting and all 4 of our other players were standing around the arc. GO HELP THAT DUDE OUT OR TIME THE REBOUND. They all sat out there on the play where Brunk was facing 2 guys and got his own rebound away from the 3rd nearby defender for a outback. Archie has to fix that. That's not a "clear out" situation. Whatev, they keep grinding. And Devonte, give the ball to Rob for free throws. What a frustrating win lol -

I really just need IU basketball to not be broken anymore. My fandom has just been burned to the ground since the 80s..
