  1. Commit enough of them and the refs get used to them. Butler is borderline dirty to me.

    Analysis -- Articles and Discussion

Love this. Getting people to do what's necessary, right, and best when it brings them no recognition, in fact, it quite likely gains recognition for someone else? That's a key to being a great leader. This short clip caused me to go find the full interview on YouTube and watch it lol. I'm fascinated by intelligent people.

Indiana vs Penn State Post Game Thread

Wow! Phinny looking like Zeke for the last 5 minutes!

    IUBB vs Northwestern - 12/1 @ 1:00 ET

I see a young man who's very talented but to some degree is trying to fit in. Have to say that I was really impressed with his defense yesterday! I look for him to just keep getting better. He seems to definitely have the clutch gene.

IUBB vs UT Arlington - Tues., 11/20 @ 7:00 ET

Not saying I want that but I think we'd survive.

    IUBB @ Arkansas - 11/18 @ 3:30 ET

On the road, missing 4 players (2 who would play significant minutes), our most experienced and probably best player sits because of fouls 3 minutes in... where would we have been 4 years ago? I'm glad we have the coach we do!
  7. The assistant coach responsible for holding up the "cut down on turnovers" cue card was at a "charting deflections" seminar. Couldn't make the game.

Sorry to hear that man! Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

    Prayer Thread

Many thoughts to you man! I went through one of those about 3-4 years ago. It's not pleasant and there's nothing you can do to change that. Keep your chin up! Don't know if you're from Haute or just went to school there? I grew up there.

    Corruption in College Basketball

I've been reading comments on here about this topic the last couple of weeks. My question to all is, will the elimination of one and done change this situation much?

    Corruption in College Basketball

Me thinks ol' boy Roy and Mikey K have their "Sam Gilbert's" take care of their situations for them and that's why they can plead ignorance.
  12. I'll be honest. I was a little surprised (pleasantly) at how well Juwan did last year. I thought he could be a good player but not to the magnitude he showed. I've also been a little a little surprised that this hasn't been touted a little more as a feather in Archie's cap.

    Corruption in College Basketball

I know the FBI is involved in the legal aspect of things but when the organization (NCAA) handing out penalties is corrupt to the very core the should really be no expectation of change.

Hope the divorce don't happen to you either, lol! It wasn't on my wish list. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed having my imagination stimulated when reading! My work schedule the last 2 winter's has been work Mon-Tues, off Wed, work Thur-Fri, off Sat-Sun. Can't tell you how many times I've gotten home on Tuesday or Friday afternoon, cooked a meal to eat, then watched it snow while I read for the next 1-2 days.

    Book Thread

You guys are awesome! I was a voracious reader in my younger days but slacked off considerably once I married and children came along. Since the kids moved out and I divorced about 2.5 years ago I've dropped cable and turned back to reading! Usually try and read a book every 3-10 days depending on the length and complexity of the book. I usually turn the cable back on in December to catch IU. Now, every lady I go out with one of my first questions is... do you like to read? Lol Keep the titles coming folks! I've read multiple books suggested here!
  16. I don't believe it's too late but it's definitely been extended by ineptitude!
  17. To bad Arch didn't get a big recruit this past spring, huh? We'd still have faith in him then lol. I'm in agreement with you. Miller has pretty much met or exceeded my expectations in every area so far. I think he's got the situation under control. I'm gonna chill lol.

    Book Thread

I'm a lurker lol. Ya'll keep listing them and I'll keep reading them. I think I've read at least 10 books that are listed on this thread in the last 8-10 weeks. On a personal improvement note. Divorced about 2 1/2 years ago. I've paid off all my debt incurred. I'm looking at trying to start investing for retirement. In my early 50's. Anyone have some suggested reading?
  22. Yoga huh? It might be in a tight spot once you get there.

    NBA Thread

I thought Vic's shot SELECTION was a little lacking at times. Pacers kind of shot themselves in the foot with turnovers. Especially late in the 4th.
