    Corruption in College Basketball

Me thinks ol' boy Roy and Mikey K have their "Sam Gilbert's" take care of their situations for them and that's why they can plead ignorance.
  2. I'll be honest. I was a little surprised (pleasantly) at how well Juwan did last year. I thought he could be a good player but not to the magnitude he showed. I've also been a little a little surprised that this hasn't been touted a little more as a feather in Archie's cap.

    Corruption in College Basketball

I know the FBI is involved in the legal aspect of things but when the organization (NCAA) handing out penalties is corrupt to the very core the should really be no expectation of change.

Hope the divorce don't happen to you either, lol! It wasn't on my wish list. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed having my imagination stimulated when reading! My work schedule the last 2 winter's has been work Mon-Tues, off Wed, work Thur-Fri, off Sat-Sun. Can't tell you how many times I've gotten home on Tuesday or Friday afternoon, cooked a meal to eat, then watched it snow while I read for the next 1-2 days.

    Book Thread

You guys are awesome! I was a voracious reader in my younger days but slacked off considerably once I married and children came along. Since the kids moved out and I divorced about 2.5 years ago I've dropped cable and turned back to reading! Usually try and read a book every 3-10 days depending on the length and complexity of the book. I usually turn the cable back on in December to catch IU. Now, every lady I go out with one of my first questions is... do you like to read? Lol Keep the titles coming folks! I've read multiple books suggested here!
  6. I don't believe it's too late but it's definitely been extended by ineptitude!
  7. To bad Arch didn't get a big recruit this past spring, huh? We'd still have faith in him then lol. I'm in agreement with you. Miller has pretty much met or exceeded my expectations in every area so far. I think he's got the situation under control. I'm gonna chill lol.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll check those out. Thanks.

    What title(s) do you recommend?

    Book Thread

I'm a lurker lol. Ya'll keep listing them and I'll keep reading them. I think I've read at least 10 books that are listed on this thread in the last 8-10 weeks. On a personal improvement note. Divorced about 2 1/2 years ago. I've paid off all my debt incurred. I'm looking at trying to start investing for retirement. In my early 50's. Anyone have some suggested reading?
  12. Yoga huh? It might be in a tight spot once you get there.
  13. They have little-brother syndrome. Lol

    NBA Thread

I thought Vic's shot SELECTION was a little lacking at times. Pacers kind of shot themselves in the foot with turnovers. Especially late in the 4th.
  15. Very true but at least we've been on the mountain and looked over a few times in those years. Archie better get to leading lol.
  16. Moses led Israel to the promised land but it took him 40 years. Probably take Vandy that long as well.
  17. The scrooge is listening. Let's not count chickens until they're hatched lol.
  18. I believe he will also. I'm a little perplexed at his unwillingness to shoot. He has a pretty nice looking shot and makes a decent %. His ability and willingness to defend will get him minutes though.
  19. Agreed. I believe Morgan has shown the ability to do that at times. He needs to develop consistency. I also imagine he realizes his NBA aspirations depend on it also.
  20. I can't see McRoberts keeping Justin Smith out of the starting lineup next year. Hunter or Thompson? It's hard to say on them until you see them play against college level competition but I'm thinking Smith starts over any of them three. I thought he acquitted himself really well towards the end of the season.
  21. Not sure he saved his job is the correct term. I think Cody prolonged his tenure. Up until then his coaching had not been exposed because there weren't really any expectations. He'd had a free pass so to speak.

    The Masters Thread

I think many, if not most, golfers of Tiger's era have been mentally intimidated. I thought many basketball players of Jordan's era were the same. "Let's play nice and settle for second or he'll embarrass us" mentality. Not sure that was the case in Jack's day.

    The Masters Thread

I'm a Jordan fan. I'm kinda late to the party because I just you woke up for work and see he's leading. Don't want to come off as a wagon jumper lol.
