I feel like he wasted the momentum the program had the two years Zeller was here and I really don't think he should get very much longer to prove he has what it takes to measure up. Making the tournament every year at Indiana should be a given and if you don't there should be hell to pay. Making the sweet sixteen on a real regular basis should be a given. Final four and national championship contention should happen frequently! Call them what you want, and I'm not a fan of Big Blue Nation, but they refused to accept mediocrity and kept bitching until things were changed. I think Calipari is shady as hell but he's getting it done and truthfully there are a lot of coaches out there that are getting it done and running a clean program. I was wondering today, "is Crean our Tubby Smith?" A nice guy but someone who just can't get it done at this level...personally I thought Tubby was a better in game coach but not as good of a recruiter although lately I'm not sure Crean has the recruiting edge! Crean is in his seventh year. Results matter. Sooner or later you get it done...If not someone else gets a chance! This is Creans time to get it done...or let's find that other someone. (And send Glass packing for giving that asinine contact! Where did you think he was going if you didn't give him that buyout?) Most of the time you get what you will settle for. Settle for mediocrity? That's probably what you'll get. I say this program deserves and should demand excellence!!! P.S. we ain't freaking Purdue!

I'm kinda understanding of both sides of this dialogue. I think that most people who use those terms (clappy Crean/tan Tommy and others) are really frustrated with the condition of something (IUBB) they are pretty passionate about and are trying to vent their frustration without being obscene! I find myself in this position many times as I watch games but my terms of expression usually include words with the letters m and f,s,o, and b and are preceded by stupid as s&=t and other terms of endearment. I try and give myself a cooling off period before expressing myself in a public manner! Lol On a little more serious note I've found that what I feed grows. If I feed my anger by expressing it at some point in time it grows so much it consumes me. I've said and done a lot of things I later regretted when I expressed myself while in an agitated state. It does make a person seem a little petty to use those terms over and over. Right now I'm really disappointed about the condition of something (IUBB) that I've followed pretty passionately for over 35 years but I'm trying not to be to negative in expressing my feelings. I do agree though. Tom Crean probably isn't causing very many knees to quake on the opposing sidelines!

I'm not so sure we make it next year. If Troy continues to improve I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave at the end of this season. I'm not saying he should but sometimes when people smell a buck they don't make the best decisions. Without him I'm not sure we are much better next year than this year.

It's a big reason I don't see the rosy future for next season that some are predicting. If Holt isn't developed any better than Perea has been them we'll be a little better next year at what our strengths are this year. Ii don't see Morgan or Abunoby be a huge difference maker next year. From what I read and hear I'm not sure our prospects are very strong with Bryant. I don't see what some are predicting for next year but I'd love to be wrong.

Unless there is a major upgrade on the interior I don't see a final four run happening.

My thought near the end of the game today was that if Holt is actually competent HE may be the one that leaves after this season. Dude shoulda got a little more playing time today in my opinion.

K ain't coming, Stevens ain't coming (probably), Donovan ain't coming (oh God I wish he would)...Marshall, Miller (Dayton) maybe...and I like them both. I really hope Crean improves and succeeds. I just don't want to settle for mediocrity!

I remember Eggers was fairly high ranked coming outta high school. Didn't do diddly-squat while playing for IU. Then came back and torched our asses...and I kept thinking maybe he took four years of frustration out on Knight! Lol...and nobody questioned RMKs ability to develop talent. He was damn good but he wasn't perfect!

If I remember correctly the year after Eggers graduated he came back with an AIA team and torched the hell outta is! Made me wonder if maybe he coulda played a little better if given a chance...and maybe he was exacting a little vengeance on RMK.

Question on Blackmon. Maybe it's me but I've noticed he doesn't seem to have the ability to get his own shot very well. Against good athletes he doesn't seem to possess the lateral quickness to really get space. He's definitely got some hops. Just wonder how much the knee injury he suffered affected him in this area? (Btw, Johnson seems to be about the same, to me at least) As an additional observation. I've really seen some development from Williams in the last few games in a lot of areas. More under control and patient,a little less selfish. If the young man continues to progress like that all year and improves his jumper a little he's gonna be a pro or an absolute beast for us next year! I'd prefer it be for Indiana!

Doyel has always been a jackwad! Even when he has a valid point he seems to feel the need to be snarky. I agree with some of the points he has made about Crean but there is absolutely no need to put that interaction out for public consumption. If he knows her well enough to ask that question on a personal basis fine but I really don't feel that conversation needs to be made public.

If troy plays like that on a regular basis he's gonna make a lot of money playing basketball! Thing I liked most was seeing him play under control. He slowed down and let the plays develop.
