I agree with everything in your statement. The thing that stumps me and the question I have is, "does all that even matter anymore?" It seems that the media and most people don't even care about honesty and integrity. Rather than being castigated for past violations UK is praised for its "passion". I'm not sure Old boy Roy at UNC is any better. They've had their issues the last few years off the court also but that situation isn't going to change. Izzo and MSU? If viewed with objectivity his behaviour is reprehensible! Pitino and Louisville? They changed only when forced to. What's the answer? This dishonesty and corruption has been there for years. How do you get to a level playing field? I think Len Elmore hit one key last night. Get rid of one and done. I like the baseball model of things but I'm not sure that would stand up in court if challenged. The media is complicit and hypocritical in all this. They promote on air those they know are functioning in the gray areas until it's a better story to tear them down. It all makes me want to just play golf 24/7/365 and forget about sports both collegiate and professional. P.S. I agree with your statement about the administration wanting to downgrade IUMBB. Don't like it but I agree with it.

Langford is a talented player and it would be great to see him come to Indiana but I believe you are absolutely correct. With or without Romeo, Archie is going to put together a successful team and program because he knows what he's doing. Talented players like Romeo will accelerate the process, but there are many talented players other than Romeo and Miller will get there in time. Archie isn't guessing, praying, and hoping. He's got a good long- term plan.

Why do you not like the 1x10's? Did you consider using a laminated panel that you can buy at a lumber yard? I've seen them at Lowe's and thought of using them for projects.

The bookshelves in your pics? What kind of joints did you use? I need one for the spare bedroom and I've been debating in my mind whether to build one myself or look around for a used one at a secondhand shop. Most of what you can buy these days are junk or ungodly expensive!

Tough, tough young man. Don't know him personally but seems to be a wonderful human being. If not for injuries I think he would have had a good pro career. Saw him play one time in high school and beyond his physical abilities you could just tell that his basketball IQ was head and shoulders above anyone else on the court.

Archie or Marshall were my first choices in the coaching search until I heard Donovan mentioned. Now looking back? I'm glad Archie is the coach. It's been awesome to watch games the last month or so and see guys actually be where they are supposed to be on defense. I really think the offense is improving also. Not sure whether it's just been the improvement of DG and his expanded role but it's been cool to watch. I'm enthusiastic about Indiana basketball for the first time in several years.

I'm sure they do stuff at Kentucky cause 18-22 year kids will do "stuff" but the infuriating thing is they have enough sense to not get caught! It almost seems as if they are arrogant and entitled and feel they don't need to take precautions.

Agree on every point. I wish he would have left about five years before they fired him. Whatever the reasons I just didn't feel his heart was in it the last few years. When you're in a situation where the circumstances around you are frustrating you but you hold it in...meh, it's a bad deal! Many times it leads to a person blowing up over something that would normally be a mild irritant. It can lead to a person having a generally crappy and cynical view on life!
