  1. Very true but at least we've been on the mountain and looked over a few times in those years. Archie better get to leading lol.
  2. Moses led Israel to the promised land but it took him 40 years. Probably take Vandy that long as well.
  3. The scrooge is listening. Let's not count chickens until they're hatched lol.
  4. I believe he will also. I'm a little perplexed at his unwillingness to shoot. He has a pretty nice looking shot and makes a decent %. His ability and willingness to defend will get him minutes though.
  5. Agreed. I believe Morgan has shown the ability to do that at times. He needs to develop consistency. I also imagine he realizes his NBA aspirations depend on it also.
  6. I can't see McRoberts keeping Justin Smith out of the starting lineup next year. Hunter or Thompson? It's hard to say on them until you see them play against college level competition but I'm thinking Smith starts over any of them three. I thought he acquitted himself really well towards the end of the season.
  7. Not sure he saved his job is the correct term. I think Cody prolonged his tenure. Up until then his coaching had not been exposed because there weren't really any expectations. He'd had a free pass so to speak.

    The Masters Thread

I think many, if not most, golfers of Tiger's era have been mentally intimidated. I thought many basketball players of Jordan's era were the same. "Let's play nice and settle for second or he'll embarrass us" mentality. Not sure that was the case in Jack's day.

    The Masters Thread

I'm a Jordan fan. I'm kinda late to the party because I just you woke up for work and see he's leading. Don't want to come off as a wagon jumper lol.
  11. Right now the are a lot of unknowns (Romeo, grad trans, incoming frosh, etc) and variables (improvement of Smith, Green, and others) but I think they have the potential to be really good. I'm hoping at least.
  12. My bad then. I thought I had read he would have two years. Similar to Zeisloft.
  13. Not so sure it wouldn't be better. I know most won't think so but I like the idea of Taylor being at IU two years. I think an athletic big to help inside would be huge.
  14. They look turrible! In their defense, I'm not sure Villanova can be stopped if they're gonna shoot like that!
  15. He's like most in the media. He's big into self- promotion.
  16. Is the anyone alive who remembers when Vandy played well?
  17. He says whatever he thinks is going to make people upset and most importantly to him, get them to call his show. That's what most sports radio host do.
  18. Maybe our definition of ok is different, lol. I certainly don't feel Mack is a poor coach. I'm not sure he will do any better than Padgett. Maybe I should have further elaborated in my original comment that I don't feel Mack is an accomplished enough coach that a recruit of Romeo's status would consider Louisville now. Your earlier comment about Archie? I was a little letdown when he was hired but not terribly. I will say that after his first season and I'm optimistic.
  19. I stated in my earlier comment that I felt he was an ok coach but not outstanding. I personally felt Padgett did a pretty good job of holding things together this year considering all the turmoil Around the program. I believe I read they're giving Mack 4 mil per for seven years. This whole thread is about the recruitment of Romeo. Some seem to think he'd consider Louisville now that Mack will be the coach. Can't say that I believe I see anything in Mack's track record that would change a recruits mind and make him consider a program that is going to struggle for a few years.
  20. His comment was in reply to my statement that I thought Mack was an ok coach but not outstanding. I never stated I thought they could do better but i was a little surprised they gave him 4 mil for seven years. I'm not sure I believe he'll do any better than Padgett would've.
  21. That's a less than .700 winning percentage. It's ok but not outstanding in my opinion. I'd be curious to know. What's their record in the tournament? How many times have they lost to a lower seed? He's gonna have a tough row to hoe in the ACC.
  22. Let him go. If he's happy with what he's seen out of Drew and Vandy? He's probably aiming a little lower than what Archie is. I'm ready for this to be over.
  23. I'm a little surprised Louisville hired Mack. I live in the Cincy area and pay attention to both UC and Xavier. While I think Mack has done an ok job I can't say that I've thought him to be overly impressive.

    2018 NCAA Tournament Games

I'm not sure some coach's are willing to trust their players enough to open it up. They want to control and micromanage everything. Sometimes they're are so afraid of failure they aren't willing to go for success.
