He could go to FAU and start right away. Their starter graduated and they bring back a QB that sat out all year. Would he start right away here?

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
Kepner replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Schilling is also the one with the most experience developing skills. He’s trained players preparing for the NBA draft and such. Maybe he is more involved in player development than recruiting. -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Been seeing all of Twitter that his finger was actually dislocated and not just jammed. -
(2018) JUCO QB Terry Wilson to Kentucky
Kepner replied to lucel15's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Wilson committed to Kentucky on the 10th according to 247 and will sign this next week. -
Committed to South Carolina earlier today

2018 IUFB Recruiting
Kepner replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Hasn’t seen it reported anywhere on here but I read on twitter earlier today that 2018 ESPN 300 QB Gerry Bohanon was also on an unofficial visit in Bloomington this weekend. He was just offered this week (Dec 7th). Pretty quick turnaround to get him on campus. Found another article that he plans on signing this month and enrolling early at whichever school he decides on. https://247sports.com/Player/Gerry-Bohanon-94311 -
I've read on other sites, boards, etc that Schilling is the member of the staff specifically focused on Romeo and only Romeo right now. He is also one of the main recruiters working with Keion Brooks. Plus he seems to be the main skills and development coach. I've seen lots of video on social media of him even working with guys like Blackmon Jr and Bryant over the summer who come back to work out and work on skills. I don't think there is any reason to worry.

Bagley was never high on Arizona. He moved out of state a year or two ago and never seemed to really consider them at all

3 of the assistant coaches arrested were from Nike Schools and the other was an Under Armour school. People are making this about Adidas cause adidas was the first to have someone go down but the other companies are in the thick of it just as much, hence the raid of Nike EYBL today.

I think the transfer change could be good. It gives players a chance to transfer once without needing to sit out but any transfer after that, they would need to sit out. That's the interpretation I read at least

2018 General Recruiting Thread
Kepner replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
They did get Jalen Coleman-Lands as a transfer front Illinois. I think after the Tyga commitment and landing Coleman-Lands they were picking up some steam but doesn't look like it now -

Tyga Campbell opened up his commitment today. Not heading to DePaul after all. Everyone will be coming after Jim now. I wonder if Archie will be at all interested? -
2018 General Recruiting Thread
Kepner replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
That makes more sense. First thing that popped up for him was 247 and they had him at number #144 compared to Forrester at #150. Makes a lot more sense though if he is ranked that high on another service. -

Why is that exactly? Not much difference ranking wise. Forrester had more impressive offers. Just curious why you are down on Forrester but high on Filip? Thanks -
Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers
Kepner replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think that is just the way the process is with a lot of the overseas kids. There is a lot of scouting and conversations/recruiting that we don't hear about until they are here. Same thing happened with Dante Exum. He wasn't talked about until his visit was announced -
Chris Holtmann named Ohio State Head Coach
Kepner replied to FortWayneHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I really like Holtmann as a coach. His recruiting at Butler seemed to echo Archie's at Dayton. Holtmann has established a good relationship with top talent in the area but wasn't able to commit to Bulter over bigger schools. Now with more money and resources at Ohio St he should be able to start landing some really good talent there in the next few years -
Archie Miller's staff at Indiana will be Bruiser Flint, Tom Ostrom (Dayton) and Ed Schilling (UCLA),

Everyone is so focused on Marshal being a football guy that they forget that Anderson and even Jackson before him had mostly football backgrounds as well. -
Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers

Unless Bryant aspires to play in the D League he will come back. All the projections are saying that late 2nd pick is his best case scenario right now. Saw a scout lost his only positive as his 3 or shot but listed his defense, rebounding, &a post play as his weaknesses. It would be in his best interests to come back -

I'm pretty sure even if a player redshirted, they still count against the scholarship numbers. So having Moore come in and automatically redshirt would not "solve" anything. -

At this point I think Miller had a really good idea of who's coming and going. He's not going into the 2017 recruits homes without a plan for them. -

They just posted a video of Hartman working out and Elston is in that video as well. I think he'll be back. If he was trusted enough to be kept as part of the transition team I honk he'll be back -

I love IU and it's history but I also feel like having an Indiana guy is getting a little old. It seems that everyone is just throwing out names of former players and most of them don't have an coaching experience. Just because someone played here doesn't mean they will know how to coach. I think with this new start to IU's history with Archie we need to throw our support behind him and whoever he picks as his staff. He has a vision for how he wants his staff and team to work and I trust him to do that. As far as the state and area go it looks like he is already making ground with that. Southport's coach was at Archie's intro press conference as a personal invite from Coach Miller. I've read where he has already been reaching out to Indiana coaches and making good contacts. -

That's obviously their job. But blaming someone blowing an ACL on a coach is ridiculous as people have done. They are usually either freak injuries or happen to guys who have previous injuries. That was my whole point. I keep seeing people blaming Anderson for knee injuries but we had injuries as well when Jackson was here. Of course it's their job to try to help players build their body to prevent injuries but literally every team had freak injuries. -

OGs injury has not hurt his stock with NBA teams. He is still projected to go mid 1st round in almost every mock draft all season long. He will go in the first. Plenty of teams at the bottom of the 1st round where there won't be urgency to have to play. They will give him all the time to rehab and be 100% before playing again. Happened this last year with Caris Lavert from Michigan. He was drafted 20th by Brooklynn and was not rushed back and ended up having an extremely good rookie year after being out his senior year. OG will be a 1st round pick -

Well I never said that the trainers and strength and conditioning coaches had no impact. Not sure where you got that The last few seasons, after having players become so fatigued towards they end of every season ( think Syracuse games) Crean implemented a change is practice schedules and routine. That plays a big factor. I know that the strength and condition make an impact but people are saying players are getting injured because of it and that just isn't true.
