Indiana @ Minnesota Game Thread 10/26 8:00PM ET FS1
Kepner replied to ThompsonHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Allen needs to hire or designate someone other than himself as the D coordinator. I don’t think he can handle those duties with the duties of being the head coach. That and Debord needs to go. We have too many talented players on offense to be this bad on O. Makes those changes and things could be better next year -
Morgan Ellison to miss rest of spring season

Rape and sexual assault is not about sex. Like you said, they could have all the consensual sex they wanted. It’s about power and control. This is from Psychology Today: “All about power Despite its name, sexual abuse is more about power than it is about sex. Although the touch may be sexual, the words seductive or intimidating, and the violation physical, when someone rapes, assaults, or harasses, the motivation stems from the perpetrator’s need for dominance and control. In heterosexual and same-sex encounters, sex is the tool used to gain power over another person” -

Morgan Ellison to miss rest of spring season
Kepner replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Yeah he didn’t get to show anyone what he could really do after a reportedly impressive offseason. I was encouraged by Stevie Scott running the ball. Also Mike Majette catching the ball out of the backfield. I hope Reese Taylor gets more carries too -
Morgan Ellison to miss rest of spring season

Adding to our running back woes. Saw this morning that coach Allen announced Cole Gest is out for the year with a torn ACL -
Anyone heard much about Ronnie Walker? With the Ellison news I saw an article saying they would now lean on Gest, Majette, Brookins, Freshman Stevie Scott, and freshman walk-on Kristian Pechac. Haven’t seen Walker’s name mentioned much.

I could see Purdue getting Newman and Franklin both. -
(2019) PG - Tre Mann to Florida
Kepner replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I don’t subscribe to 247 but I saw there was an article regarding IU getting involved with Mann again. Anyone have any insights? -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

UCLA made Alford shake up his staff this last summer as well. He had to get rid of an assistant or two so things are already starting to destabilize -
(2019) WR Emery Simmons - Decommit

Looks like earlier this week he flipped again. Now verbally committed to Penn State. Never a good sign to me when a kid keeps flipping like this. -
2019 General Recruiting Thread

Miami (Ohio) has been quietly pulling in some 3 Star indiana kids and getting a lot out of them. One time IU recruit Jalen Adeway from Logansport played for them last year and had a good freshman year. They also picked up Mekhi Lairy this year who was a Mr. Basketball finalist and Indiana All Star -

Jack Kiser committed to Notre Dame yesterday over Purdue and Iowa. https://www.google.com/amp/s/247sports.com/Article/New-Notre-Dame-linebacker-commit-Jack-Kiser-talks-about-his-decision-to-play-for-the-Irish-119006911/Amp -
QB Hunter Johnson has committed to Northwestern per their official twitter account.

(2019) WR David Bell to Purdue

His final five; Purdue, Ohio St, Iowa, Penn St, and IU -
Sad to hear about his passing. I was born in 1990 so I don’t have any real memories of his tenure but I’ve heard lots of great stories. This is a little off topic but all three of his sons are great football minds as well. It appears the three of them played at Michigan during his tenure at IU. Anyone that followed the program back then know why neither of his sons played for him at IU? I understand the draw of Michigan back then but it struck me as odd reading that today.

Eron Gordon transferring to Valpo per Jeff Goodman

Obviously but the tweets and news about Rwaves came out pretty much as the Fitzner news did. I guess I’m just wondering if it’s iust the staff doing their due diligence or if something else is brewing behind the scenes.

Any substance behind the tweets today that Wichita St transfer Austin Reaves is interested in Indiana?

This should give Clifton Moore a role model for his own game and style

Brooks, Jackson-Davis, and the rest of the really talented Indy Heat team are going to be an exciting team to watch this summer in AAU -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
Kepner replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I’d love to see him as a Hoosier but I’m in the group that would rather see him play his senior year and continue to improve even more and then have him come play in 19’ -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
Kepner replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
He’s at least a 2 year guy. He has a great, NBA style game but even last year there were a lot of games where he got lost in the shuffle of the game. -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

They are playing on the same AAU team this summer. That will be a fun team to watch -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Kepner replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
There is a lot of outside pressure on him regarding his decision. The all star games are once in a lifetime events honoring him as one of the best players his age. Also, this is an opportunity to play with some of the best players in his class. Maybe he wants to put off the decision and “focus on the all star games” and just enjoy the moment and enjoy playing in these games with the rest of the players. He’s also been able to go out and continually show that he’s one of the best players in his class.
