(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

I'd take either Nebraska or Kansas as neighbors over Illinois any time. Both have better scenery and neither are burdened with the festering s-hole that is Chicago. -

If by "outworked" Knight you mean that Smith thoroughly explained the benefits of UNC's Wheels for Heels and No Show Courses programs then, yes. -
If you have an IU bumper sticker then it would be a recruiting violation. If you were paying a player to go to UNC and you also paid for a non-athlete it wouldn't be a violation. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I know Walton is drug addled idiot but to run his mouth off about Arizona considering he was paid to play at UCLA takes a lot of nerve. To throw Miller under the bus after having defended Wooden is even more so and to consider AZ's likely cheating as worse than UCLA buying 10 championships is laughable.

The problem with this theory is that Crean really wasn't recruiting anyone in 2018. He had some early contact with the 2018s but the writing was on the wall by the time the recruiting would have been getting serious. He pretty well said as much on a couple of his post firing interviews. -

Right now I take SO with a more consistent motor over a FR with a lot of potential that hasn't gotten there yet. -

He's going to have to mature a lot before he's ready to be a solid college player let alone be better than other more experienced bigs on the team, fortunately he has time. -

I think you may be assuming way too many people at Vandy actually care. -

I don't doubt that he is leaning a certain way, perhaps even strongly leaning. I also don't doubt that he has leaned more than one direction over the course of his recruitment and especially the last few months. What do doubt is that any top tier, guaranteed to have a spot on the team player like Romeo should make the decision official any sooner that absolutely necessary. A lot can change over the course of a few months in college basketball such as the FBI investigation and Preston/Lambo situation as examples. Besides he can't sign his LOI right now anyway and if he does choose IU, I wouldn't be surprised to see Drew put on a full court press until he was actually signed. -
I've thought that several years when they've struggled in the BIG only to see them end up making a run in the tournament. They almost always seem to find another gear when it's tournament time.

I don't think he has to really worry all that much about cheap shots given how in awe of him most of the opponents are but there is a really simple way to avoid it: don't keep him in the game once New Albany has a 40 point lead on some hapless team. -

Purdue may have been the first to offer and may be in a good spot now but that wasn't the case until fairly recently. When TJD almost committed at HH MSU was the only other school that was even under serious consideration. Now that OSU and PU have been getting the hype they've been getting for the seasons they've had they've gained some ground to climb into contention. As you said there's a long, long way to go and there will be more schools that show interest as TJD climbs the rankings. -

If the past is any indication then I wouldn't get my hopes up too much for that. He may take a short break but he'll be back, he always comes back and with a new outlandish prediction that he's equally certain of. -

If the past is any indication, the bitter end is the minimum distance he will ride it. No amount of evidence to the contrary ever seems to sway him until the final results are known, sometimes not even then. -

Bailey is being sarcastic. DM, on the other hand , has a track record of making wild predictions, full of hyperbole and sticking with them until the bitter end on numerous other sites. He seemingly intends for those predictions to be taken seriously but given that he has rarely , if ever, been correct I wouldn't taken them too seriously. -

Yes, Vandy will still be second fiddle in the SEC to UK even if they land all 3. -

Unfortunately he isn't. You just haven't had the "benefit" of his company over jere until now. If you think you you are tired of the routine already just imagine the same during every recruitment and before every game for the last several years and you will have an idea what it's like for those of us who know him from other boards -
IPFW didn't win because they made it a half court game, they won because they clogged the lane to prevent IU from driving effectively, swarmed with help any time IU caught the ball in the post, and dared IU to beat them from the perimeter. That will work when IU doesn't shoot the ball particularly well from the perimeter like they did against IPFW but it is a recipe for disaster if IU is hitting shots at or near their normal percentage.

Analysis: Was Big Ten disrespected with NCAA seedings?
hoosierbgh replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
A lot of teams seeded above IU did the same and in some cases worse. Looking at the seeding objectively, it is hard to make the case that the BIG tournament or several other conference tournaments for that matter, really made much difference in overall seeding. Nor, apparently, did actual conference success(or lack thereof especially for the middle of the pack Big 12 and PAC 12 teams) mean much. -

This fan base sure is entertaining. When not busy trying to shove the coach out the door, we delight in making future opponents out to be the 2016 Golden State Warriors and recently defeated opponents into a last place JUCO squad. Chattanooga turns the ball over at a high rate as well, shoots 3's in the low 30's and hasn't faced an offense or defense like IU's all year. They lack the athletes to both guard Yogi and Troy on the 3 point line and keep them from driving at will. They also lack the size to match up with more than one of TB, Max, OG and Morgan at a time. If IU shows up and is locked in the game is over by half time. The only chance Chattanooga has is if they shoot lights out and IU plays flat on both ends. As for UK, they play fast, defend sporadically and rebound poorly. They are far from unbeatable. If IU holds the turnovers down and shoots well they should usher UK to an early exit. -

Excellent lion cooking tips, however I'm afraid you have mixed up your lions! The Nittany Lion is actually of the North American mountain variety not the bigger, stronger, and gamier African variety your culinary tips referred to. The proper way to prepare Nittany Lion is to shred it after slow roasting like pulled pork. It can occasionally be tougher than expected so you can't short cut the slow methodical preparation required but when treated with the appropriate caution can be an excellent prelude to some spicy blackened Hawkeye. -
I guess for Albers any attention he can get anyway he can get it is a good thing. As for McIntosh, he should probably be more concerned with how poorly he and his team played than the reactions of opposing fans to him. Besides, I was at the OSU game while the students were gone and we booed Lyle louder and more frequently than anything I heard directed at McIntosh. I never thought I would ever say this but Doyel makes miss Kravitz.
