  1. Upon replay, it looked like he was expecting the ball to be higher and had to reach down slightly for it. That was about as thoroughly blocked as a shot could be.
  2. Wow, I'm starting to miss the BIG refs... at least they're bad in predictable ways.
  3. Yes, I think Edey and Cockburn could be in for a rude awakening in the tournament if they are not allowed to smash into the defender and knock them out of the way.
  4. Showing up accomplishes that. If the Indiana team that played the last 5 halves shows up then Wyoming is irrelevant. If the worst Indiana shows up, then maybe Wyoming gets a brief tour of the west coast.

    Bracketology and Team Resumes

That's exactly the kind of dumb that happens when you make a questionable decision, then have to come up with reasons to explain/justify it and then do that poorly.

    Memorable March Madness Moments

My first memorable March Madness moment was rooting for Duke(first and last time) against undefeated UNLV in the championship game in 1991. Then, following that the next year rooting for UK(first and last time) against Duke in the Laettener stomp and shot game. Next was probably rooting for Arkansas against Duke in 1994. That was quickly followed by OSU and Big Country Reeves run to the Final 4 the following year. IU related, one of the first and best was Damon Bailey's championship run. Actual IU games, the 1992 run, especially against LSU and UCLA stand out as well as Duke and Oklahoma in 2002.

    Memorable March Madness Moments

I remember that Purdue game, they needed all the help they got from the officials and it still almost wasn't enough.

2022 NCAA Tournament / Bracket Reveal

To some degree it is the fanbase being homers, to a larger degree I think it is the clear discrepancies in team selection and seeding. When you have no clear, solid indication what the committee valued in a team's resume and the metrics seemingly applied differently with each team, then you're going to have questions and complaining.

2022 NCAA Tournament / Bracket Reveal

I saw that too but CBS screwed up apparently.

    Bracketology and Team Resumes

Well, it's the NCAA so making sense is not a requirement, goal, or otherwise done except by accident.

    Bracketology and Team Resumes

It looks like Wyoming was last and IU was first of the last 4 in.

    Bracketology and Team Resumes

Hopefully X and TJD take it personally.
  13. Geronimo would have helped a lot yesterday but I agree he put that out there in excitement at the prospect of playing in the NCAA tournament like the other guys. For some reason, I see Geronimo having a breakout defensive game in the tourney like Anunoby did.

    College Bball Thread

IMO, the 2nd example is clearly a charge. The defender isn't credited for being quartered on the driver, the driver is quartered to the defender, changes direction slightly and creates contact with the defender in legal position. It would have been nice if the BIG refs had reviewed this video before the start of the BTT, especially the part about the defender needing to be in position before the offensive player leaves his feet.
  15. I'd love for IU to be able to take out Coach Ratface and his occasionally interested mercenaries if IU made it that far!
  16. Now that's a BIG ref level resume!
  17. It wasn't completely one sided so there's that but every time IU started to pull away, you could count on a questionable foul on IU and no calls on the other end. I absolutely hate when ref's do that, in some ways its almost worse that a one sided jobbing would be.
  18. The option we really needed from the bench wasn't available today and Bates offense is not really the problem or what we needed today. Maybe playing him wouldn't have cost IU that much and would've been a net benefit with the rest it would've allowed other players but that would've been risky as well.
  19. X with better shooters would be lethal. Hopefully he's back next year along with Race and shooters develop.
  20. Apparently what we're doing here is throwing a tantrum bashing our players and coaches after 3 hard fought games and then completely overreacting to a little of the constructive criticism you so thoughtfully recommended for others.
  21. It seems his comments were far more constructive than the ones he was referring to, perhaps you should apply you own advice.
  22. Of course they do, it's what they live for apparently.
  23. This fanbase really needs to stop with nonsense like this. Kopp played his @$$ off the whole game and made several big shots. The whole team played their ***** off and ran out of gas at the end.
  24. Worthless f'ing BIG refs. Every time IU started to pull away they got out their whistles to keep Iowa close.
  25. Iowa depends a lot more on jump shots and that is usually where fatigue shows first. Any fatigue should show less in IU's offense and defense.
