    Who is Middle School Bob??

5 thugs at once.. so good. but for real, Middle school bob is ded, D-E-D, ded.
  5.   CCGen, any word yet?   I didn't see any type of announcement when researching, but maybe you heard of a date?

    Naddir Tharpe

Agree. I think distractions this last season are what cost us more than anything.  we had players who could ball big time, but distractions may have plagued our locker room. NO MO'
  7. I can't see Crispy Calamari going to the Lakers.. only because they aren't going to pay him $8 - $10 million a year to coach a team that will lose anyway because of the players and talent they currently don't have.  Maybe 2015 though, if LA saves up some draft picks and gets some skilled young blood (Cals favorite).

I read that A.J. Moye is living in bloomington now.  apparently suffered a stroke after a serious head on collision with another player in 2010... crazy. Glad to hear he's living back in b-town with his young family.  Good dude.

  13. It is, after all, an Indiana Basketball forum here.  Just about any topic would/could come back to how it relates to our program, staff, and players.  If we wanted to only talk about Cal and UK, might as well go to KSR forum

    NBA Draft: Noah Vonleh

True that indymike...  But the reason he might be drafted so high is that he has awesome potential still.  He had just turned 18 months before he hit the court in assembly hall.  NV has the size and body to compete in the NBA, and his bball IQ is really high for just being 18. So much room for NBA coaches and staff to turn his game into something special.   I'd like to see Noah in 3 or 4 years from now and see if he can be a powerhouse.

Jordan Hulls - IUBB Recruiting Coordinator

Any new updates on Jordy?  does anyone have his overall stats for this last season? i'm especially curious to see his 3-pt%, turnovers, and assists.   What a great player.
  16. This next year's class for them just seems too good... why would all these great players want to share the spotlight and give up minutes when they could shine so bright just about anywhere else (most schools would die to have just 1 mcdaa).    I'm looking into my crystal ball and seeing Calimari leave, then sanctions galore.   oh what a dream.
  17. With a roster like crispy Calimari has, if the wildcats get upset in any way at all, the blame will fall on cal. Also, i wonder to the extent in which a team so packed with talented players could be a detriment to itself.  Yeah, i know, it sounds stupid.. but does anyone think that by sharing so much playing time, it could adversely affect how much the players develop throughout the year? a counter argument would be that their practices would be elite! and they can develop in those more than most teams could.  the best playing against the best.
  18. True, but i'm just happy were still being considered by the #5 prospect for next year, especially a big man, which we need.   you're not wrong though, and you're view is def most realistic.
  19. Wow, this is really a surprise were in his final choices. No need for everyone to get negative about this opportunity though. Big props to crean for keeping it real with zim. He is still a good recruiter regardless of what we've all seen lately with some unknown players coming in. Says a lot about zim and his fam too, the kid seems to be serious about succeeding in basketball and not just looking for the "spotlight" like some players going to UK (lyles). I'd love for us to pursue this kid intensely, even if we don't land him, because we're planting seeds on the west coast for other recruits and making the Indiana name relevant to a region dominated by AZ, UCLA, UNLV. Great job crean! We could be a national title contender with big center players like zim. Love to see us going after the skilled bigs. Crean has shown he can land them with NV and CZ. 20. the dude seemed insane.  But, did you see his "girlfriend"?  He obviously DGAF about how people perceive him.

    ESPN's Fab 50 Teams

Wow, that's shocking. Think some of the decision of us being 10th in B10 is on account of all the transfers?  I wonder how much it's based solely on statistics. Being that our locker room might have much more positivism and win-lust than last year, now that the peeps who's hearts weren't in it are gone now and the new class seems to be seriously gung-ho and already meshing together (chemistry is super important!) (TW & SR going to derby fest, etc.)
  22.   aaaannd, I commend you as well sir.

    B1G10 2014 - Where do we fit?

#1 Big Ten regular season and tournament!  Nah, JK.. But I do think we might be surprisingly better this year compared to last, not only because of the new guys coming in... but also with all the folks that transferred, I am optimistic that some or most of the distractions or lackluster play will be diminished for all our returning players.   This is just speculation of course, but after all the rumors about the drug use on the team and Hollowell's girlfriend-wierd-whatever-it-was-with-jumping-some-other-athlete all gone now, I'm hopeful that the focus will be on studies and basketball.  If the distractions are indeed gone and others don't reveal themselves, I think that our players could be far superior in skill than they were last year.   wishful and positive thinking, but IMO very plausible that our guys will play to their utmost potential, unlike last year.

You got it LAZ...  quality is key. Love to see us getting guys who will be successful in life, not just basketball.  (but basketball success would be nice :dancer: )
