Browsing some Indiana articles, came across this one from BTPowerhouse looking at Indiana's depth at each position for the coming 14/15 season... http://www.btpowerhouse.com/2014/5/29/5753144/2014-2015-basketball-indiana-hoosiers-depth-chart "Both he (Hoetzel) and Davis have been rumored to have grown an inch or two since their last official measurement, and if that is the case, it would be great news for Hoosier fans." If Davis had grown 2 inches (which i'm doubtful), he would be listed at the same height as Perea, and could possibly help at center depending on how things pan out for Perea. It would be nice to have Davis match up with opponents better in the post.

Depth Chart - Davis has grown an inch or two?
Hutch89 replied to Hutch89's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Interesting thought... could be amazing. I can't see the staff just picking up April out of sheer size alone. He's got to have something in his game they love, and i'm hoping it points to defense. -
We're going to be in NY quite a lot this next preseason... should give Chuck Martin some quality time with recruits over there in his stomping grounds between games.

Stuhoo planted the seeds with going to the Marist college forum... He's the man

went to an Xavier basketball forum and asked for insight on the "issues" that are rumored around Justin Martin. Only one response back so far. "Scohutch, Thanks for your post. I have no idea what the Indiana schools are thinking or have heard. Justin got a a lot of criticism on the X boards for inconsistent play, but there were complicating factors prior to this past season because of two concussions. He was a strong player for us last year, and I suspect that a sizable majority of fans were wanting him to stay. I got the sense he was well liked by his teammates. If there were problems off the court I'm not aware of them or have forgotten about them."

Shake Milton is looking real good, and now in the espn100. I believe that IU had offered him before he made that jump to #67 in the 100 too. So, I hope that helps our cause some as well. seems like a nice kid and would be real excited if Chuck can build a relationship.
-
So does anyone actually know what Justin's issues were? I'm seeing a lot of speculation about it, but did he do something at Xavier (on or off court) that's obvious, or are these issues behind closed doors?

This guy comes on here and makes this one post... I believed in your dream!

à la kentucky. can't argue that too much.

(2015) PF Alex Illikainen to Wisconsin
Hutch89 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Indiana's in the perfect place for these guys to take serious looks at joining our program. Come the 2015 season with Perea in his senior year, and if our boys can show we can shoot lights out this 2014 season, we would look mighty appetizing to a big man looking to show off down low. -
Ok, enough about calimari. now back to Jose.

"you talkin' s**t ? " -
Defensive X's & O's guy? could be a nice compliment. per wiki - "Marist set a program record for fewest points allowed to a Division I opponent in a 57-35 win over Hartford, and also set a MAAC Tournament record for fewest points allowed in a 43-40 opening-round triumph over Iona." not that the offensive points didn't stink to high heaven, but pretty impressive to hold a team to such few points anyways.

But they are essentially my only option in watching sports on tv! cruel, cruel world...

Nice stats write up from IU Athletics
Hutch89 replied to Hutch89's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Totally agree, seemed like a good PR type of thing. Seems the case especially because it's from IU Athletics and not a fan-based entity like ITH or btownbanners here. Still, I find the numbers and stats an interesting read. -
http://www.iuhoosiers.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/052814aab.html short article from IU Athletics looking at the stats for each player from last season and some cumulative totals from the past 3 years (pretty interesting). Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

well, this fell off dramatically. I wonder what's taking so long?

(2016) PG Quentin Goodin to Xavier
Hutch89 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Another good article from ITH on Quentin.. http://www.insidethehall.com/2014/06/02/class-2016-guard-quentin-goodin-very-high-on-iu/ -
Maybe even Devin Robinson if Billy Donovan leaves Florida? 6-8" freshman, and just behind Blackmon in the top100. Would add some good depth and size, and we'd have a heck of a freshman class this year. If he were a few inches taller though...

my goodness, I am MORE than excited for this season to start. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Hoosiers jumping from ADIDAS to Jordan Brand??
Hutch89 replied to Bobman1's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I just looked to see what other NCAA basketball teams are sponsored by Jordan Brand. I had NO idea it was such a select and minimal group... I don't know much about fresno, but I like all the other teams. Would be good company if we were to get a deal with the Jumpman. (from wiki) College Basketball[edit] California Golden Bears Georgetown Hoyas Marquette Golden Eagles North Carolina Tar Heels[36] Oakland Golden Grizzlies Fresno State Bulldogs (p.s. we destroyed Oakland last season, but really impressed at how they like to schedule opponents. One of the toughest non-conference schedules every year for them) -
Fred Glass addresses Crean and last season
Hutch89 replied to Walking Boot of Doom's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Glass is a class-act AD. The future of Indiana Hoosier sports is in very capable hands IMO. He seems to be the guy who can make all the right decisions, no matter how tough, with a clear mind and vision for where IU wants to be and how we can get there. LOVE IT. -
Better suited for a baseball forum, but why not. If you build it, they will come.
