    What happened

Just do what UNC does, and make it happen!
  4. that crystal ball knew what was up.  Jimmy's meant for Indiana, come on Chuck!
  5. What does the interest from the Hoosiers mean to you? Have you thought about taking a visit to Bloomington? “It means a lot. They just have so much tradition and so many good players coming out, so the fact that they see something in me, it means a lot. And I’ve had some thought about it, but because I’m so far it’s hard to take visits.” I hope that distance from home isn't an issue with this kid.  He's a solid player!    ESPN database shows him as a Shooting Guard, but in the interview he mentioned a Nike Point Guard Camp.  Which is he (or will be at college level)?

    Interesting CTC Tweet

Crean essentially said the same thing publicly last month at the Huber Winery "on the road" tour stop... “Our guys last year spent too much time being buddies, than being absolute comrades,” Crean explained. “Comrades and even friends, they don’t let you make mistakes. It is not just what goes on, on the floor, it is what it is off the floor. Buddies are afraid sometimes of telling each other what needs to be done and we have to outgrow that (and Yogi is a key component of that).” My guess is that he's been pushing this sort of mentality for awhile now. Interesting CTC Tweet

He's talked about this in several press conferences in the past months of this offseason.  I think it's just some accountability motivation stuff that he's been pushing a lot.  Again though, definitely the right message, but twitter?  eh, don't really care.   I'm not sure if he even does most of his own tweets, thought I heard before that there are marketing people who keep tabs on the major coaches/staff's social media and edit or generate new content.

    Interesting CTC Tweet

I would take this as just some motivational or work ethic stuff as KellyHoosh was saying.  This is definitely a bit different than the others he's tweeted though, but same kind of shtick here IMO.  But, just to speculate... if he was getting at a certain player, who do you all think it would be?

from the knicks.. http://www.nba.com/knicks/knicks-summer-league-preview-new-guys   35 Will Sheehey (F, 6-7, 200, Jan. 16, 1992, Indiana/USA, Indiana/NCAA, R) Sheehey improved each year in Bloomington, averaging 11.4 points on 47 percent shooting as a fifth-year senior in 2013-14. He's a good shooter and solid athlete, and he's also been working with Knicks coaches after practice on his offensive game.

  22. Everyone's being critical of Crean after how our last season went, but I don't know if many have "blind loyalty" towards him and agree with every decision no matter what, unless they know him personally or something.     Criticism is a good thing, some people are just more optimistic in their views or are just more confident in his abilities.  I agree that for the pay he's getting, we should have done a lot better last year, but it's unrealistic to think that wins and tournament births are just a given, there are 351 D1 teams that are striving for those 64 spots.  We should be in the top 64, no doubt, and with the pay Crean's receiving there has got to be some success this next year.   I feel that a lot of the issues we had last year were attributed to team chemistry (youth, off-court issues, some players obviously didn't want to be at IU anymore, etc.), so big props to Crean and the rest of the staff for bringing in Chuck Martin.  I believe he would be able to help our team mesh and bring in new recruits where chemistry will flow much better in the coming years, just based off the interviews he's had and past work experiences, I feel that Chuck makes team chemistry a high priority.
  23. really great article from ITH. http://www.insidethehall.com/2014/07/10/indiana-among-top-three-schools-raymond-spalding/   "The fact that Crean was in attendance for Spalding’s first two games, the only head coach in his top three schools to earn that distinction, wasn’t lost on the rising senior." “It really tells a lot about him and his program,” Spalding told Inside the Hall. “He takes basketball to heart over there. He’s a great coach. For him to come to my games, the head coach, the head guy, that means a lot. I talk to coach Crean every day. He’s becoming one of my best friends. We talk every day about basketball and our families in general. He’s a great guy, great coach.”

    Hurryin' Hoosiers!

I wonder how much they've all been practicing their ball handling and passing?  my guess would be A LOT !    They know what went wrong, and it was turnover city.  I'm hoping they come out with some good hands above most else.

Like that video. K.J. seems like a nice guy, and respectful also. Loved the big smile when asked if he was excited for Crean to be there watching him. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
