Top "Realistic" Recruit Commits for 15
Hutch89 replied to Bk4life's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Crean's setting us all up to get the big Thon on board! god i wish. -
I think our current young roster is really setting us up for the next few years.. Hopefully we'll be great this season and get our recruiting back up to snuff for some top talent in 2015 and 2016. At year 2016, if we keep most of the current freshman and even the project freshman on board until then, we're just one big-time recruit away from a serious run in the tourney. All speculative of course (IMO, FWIW, whatever ha), but we have some good recruits this year that have high potential and if they stay with us and work hard, we'll have a really good base of players in which a star or two could shine bright.

OT-John Calipari Calls a Radio Show To Defend Himself

I bet you'd like if IU had a full on hockey team, eh? #HoosierHockey has a ring to it. -
OT-John Calipari Calls a Radio Show To Defend Himself

What other coach in the ncaa calls into a radio show to defend themselves? Never heard of anything like that before. -
Beer and Curds!

Wisconsin has a really nice campus.. Definitely the 2nd best in B1G, behind B-town of course. Only problem is that it gets freezing cold up there too, and Scott Walker is nutz. I respect their campus, not sure how their basketball facilities are though, anyone else have a clue?

Yep! Chuck's our guy! http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2014/08/20/f-emmitt-holt-reclassifies-commits-indiana/14333265/ "Vermont Academy coach Alexander Popp, who confirmed the commitment, had earlier said Holt's relationship with Indiana began with new assistant coach Chuck Martin, "

What if Coach Knight had not been fired
Hutch89 replied to OliviaPope40's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I saw an article online that lists the 10 best coaches under 40 years old. ok, so it's bleacherreport, but still interesting. At #10, there's Zach Spiker. Head basketball coach for army. bob knight reincarnate? haha http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2166143-ranking-the-10-best-college-basketball-coaches-under-40-years-old/page/2 Zach Spiker --- 68-83 career coaching record over 5 years. The only two Army coaches to win at least 65 games in their first five seasons are Bob Knight and Mike Krzyzewski. Coach K is also the last bench boss to win at least 31 games and record a .500 record over a two-year span at Army, both of which Spiker has accomplished over the past two seasons. No one else has accomplished any of those goals for nearly 40 years. -
This is a good one of Holt too... that reach though

(2015) PG Jimmy Whitt to Arkansas
Hutch89 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Yogi is apparently on track to finish his schooling next summer, like how oladipo did. Also, out of anyone else, i would think that Hartman might make a move next offseason. He's not going to be realistically looking to be in the pros, and unless something opens up for him to play right away here at IU, I would think he'd transfer to another school and play a larger role on a different team. just IMO though. -
They'll say that the scholly spots will be open for them if they wanted to commit. As they should be expected to

I saw somewhere he was an excellent passer and strong on the defensive side. Sounds exactly like what we need from a untested freshman. If he can do both of those pretty effectively, then that will help our shooters immensely. I hope he's got some strong rebounding skills though.

I'm pretty open to some jersey changes, but really enjoy the classic look still. The only thing I definitely don't want touched is the lack of a name on the back. I really appreciate that part over all the other traditions.

An easy way to get tradition AND more hype for recruits is to only change the shoe. Get those Jordan Brands in cream/crimson color... or hell, just slap some candy stripes on them too. Those would be BA

Stan posted a video on 6/29 that has Seth Cooper in it. Pretty hilarious video too. https://twitter.com/showmelovestan/status/483224782482063360 @ShowMeLoveStan: #scareCam http://t.co/4HJ9PVAnZT Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
