Hutch89 replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
if we're able to get Juwan Morgan on board, would we want or need Anunoby still? seem to be about the same size and weight. -

Jordan Hulls signs with Sigal Prishtina in Kosovo
Hutch89 posted a topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
"Former Indiana guard Jordan Hulls has a new professional home. After spending last season with Energa Czarni in Poland, Hulls said Wednesday on his Twitter account that he’ll play this coming season with Sigal Prishtina in Kosovo." http://www.insidethehall.com/2014/09/03/jordan-hulls-signs-deal-with-sigal-prishtina-in-kosovo/ CONGRATULATIONS JORDY! you'll be right next to Sheehey too, so that should be great! -
Mike Davis returns to Assembly Hall

Instead of Booing Davis, let's just beat the tar out of his team on the court. 'nuff sed. -
Sporting News Picks IU to finish 10th in B1G
Hutch89 replied to Hutch89's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It might also be worth noting that Sporting News just listed the top teams in order of preseason ranking "The complete predicted Big Ten order of finish: Wisconsin, Michigan State, Ohio State, Nebraska, Michigan, Iowa, Maryland, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, Penn State, Purdue, Northwestern, Rutgers." "Four Big Ten teams made the preseason top 25: Wisconsin (3), Michigan State (18), Ohio State (21), Nebraska (22)." Maybe the preseason ranking is weighed upon too heavily here. But I guess we'll see! -
Who Will Be IU's Next Commitment
Hutch89 replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
The problem could be as simple as IU having a sub-par 2013-2014 run. IU didn't make the tournament, and there is uncertainty if we will be able to again this next season, or that Crean will keep his job. I don't think recruits are just going to throw themselves at Indiana because it's Indiana anymore and winning is key to recruiting. If we do well this year on the court, we will do well in recruiting. Indiana's facilities and basketball oriented athletics are obvious advantages, the only thing we're missing is a tournament berth and a deep run away from landing the recruits we all know we should get. You could pay a monthly subscription to the Hoosiers All-Access thing that they have on their website. It's pretty cheap and I usually get it so I can watch the exhibition games that aren't on B1G Ten network or ESPN.

I just came across this little nugget of hilarity a moment ago. I haven't listed to it yet, but thought I'd post so others can check it out. http://kentuckysportsradio.com/basketball-2/trey-lyles-dad-releases-a-new-song-called-bbn/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Apparently there is a line somewhere in there that's a swipe at Crean.

Starting Lineup Predictions
Hutch89 replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
The staff better be doing their research on each of our opponents. I feel like our guards all have very different skills in which we can play multiple combinations (especially with guards) in order to exploit any weaknesses we find in opposing teams defense. Going to be a very X's and O's oriented team this year, IMO. Sounds like we could pretty tough to guard to with Crean playing some irregular type of lineups and changing up the defense. Didn't they do some abstract defensive switching last year, especially near the end of our season? I remember that actually being a bit successful, but you could tell that the players weren't used to it yet, as it found some of our freshman (stan in particular) out of position. -

Yeah, for sure. I guess a better way of putting it is that if he finished his undergrad right after next season, he would then have to commit to a graduate degree right? I'm just trying to wrap my head around the options he has to continue playing at IU. Also, is there like a minimum amount of credit hours a student athlete (undergrad or grad) must reach per semester in order to be scholarship eligible?

Well, here's a question.. If Yogi is slated to finish college next summer, would he have the ability to continue playing ball for IU during the next school year? And would it be possible for him to play if he just takes like one or 2 classes a semester for his senior year? Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
