IU vs MD Pre-Game Thread
Hutch89 replied to Walking Boot of Doom's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Go to their bars and flirt with their dames ? Get to the picture store and buy 3 nice custom-made frames? Have a fender-bender, call up state-farm and issue our claims? camp out by Lake Monroe, get drunk and high, then stare at the flames? -

(2015) SG Malik Ellison to St. John's

Fixed it! Indiana: “They’re big time, they’re in the Big Ten Conference. They play the best competition in the country, and with the coaches and everything else it’s a very good fit.” Indiana: “They’ve been a great squad since back in the day so obviously it would be a good fit.” Indiana: “They’re kind of my play style. They have a lot of shooters, and tall guards.” Indiana: “This year they have proved a lot. They’re ranked in the country now, so that would be a great fit.” -

Good article here from 3 days ago, and Malik also broke down a few of the schools recruiting him. http://zagsblog.com/articles/malik-ellison-stole-the-show-in-impressive-victory-at-hoophall-discusses-schools/ Minnesota: “They’re big time, they’re in the Big Ten Conference. They play the best competition in the country, and with the coaches and everything else it’s a very good fit.” Georgetown: “I haven’t talked to them as much, I’ve only talked to them a little bit. They’ve been a great squad since back in the day so obviously it would be a good fit.” Indiana: “They’re kind of my play style. They have a lot of shooters, and tall guards.” Maryland: “This year they have proved a lot. They’re ranked in the country now, so that would be a great fit.” -

What do you all think? Did Woodbury poke some eyes intentionally, or was it an accident? http://streamable.com/6e6 The poke against Nigel Hayes looks like an accident, but against Kaminsky... i'm not so sure. Woodbury ruffled his hair even and looked to be probing some at his face before the eye poke

Is this game for real on ESPNU ?? 2 ranked teams with large fanbases... and they go for ESPNU ? ughhh I wouldn't normally be so salty, but I don't get ESPNU. Anyone know of some good alternatives for game day? -

Troy stays... i'm sure his gf would be so pissed if he did haha. probably doesn't make a lick of difference though, just any excuse. KSR uses that a lot when talking about willie cauley stein too. -

Good thing is, he doesn't need to shoot 3s very much this year. With the weapons we already have, we're all best served by him not taking the snipe. Would be a great tool to spread the floor even more if he could though obviously. Loving what his game has turned into so far -
Rutgers putting up a fight tonight! after beating wiscy this last weekend, Rutgers is up by 1 against Maryland with 5 left to play. 59-58 Rutgers

Well, we are the only ones to offer Matur Maker at this point. However, i'm sure that will change soon. I'm glad we offered Matur, because he will be a great player on his own merit... but you count downplay the fact that offering Matur is a gesture by our staff to show our commitment to recruit Thon. It's a wise move, and i'd be shocked if IU wasn't brought up around the Maker table more often because of our offer to Matur.

I agree, but there could be a different angle as well... Hanner and Holt were dealt a hot steamy dish of adversity. Would it be more important to let them sit on the bench through it and get April some game experience, or have Holt/Hanner try to dig their way out of the hole they were partially to blame for while on the court. Game experience is everything, and some game experiences that need to be learned only happen in certain situations, like being down by a LOT, being on the verge of losing/winning a game, stopping an opponents "run", going on a run of your own, etc. The MSU game was a situation that anyone on the team could have benefited from, especially the 3 of Holt/Hanner/April, who operate in our team's most vulnerable position. But who would you play? Who would be the most important for us to experience that certain situation and learn from it? From this lens, it doesn't sound like April would make the biggest impact for this team in learning that, compared to Hanner or Holt.

Hoosiers toughest stretch due to start Sunday

Honestly, the smell hovering around West Lafayette is nauseating. My Mom was living there for several years while I was going to IU, so i'd be up there visiting quite a bit... and trust me, it stinks like dog food. I believe that it's the ethanol plant that's near there. -
