BUT BRAD!!!! I think the best thing that can ever happen to this university is to forget that name from here on out. As long as "Brad" is involved, no one would ever be happy with the hire if it isn't him.

Sorry for the long post. But just want to give my two cents for anyone who cares. And you probably shouldn’t. Everyone can be disappointed, but Dolson couldn’t just say “hey (insert coach name here) come coach IU” and they just come here. Some people don’t want to leave cushy jobs. Some people don’t want the lights. NIL has changed everything. I’m not thrilled with the hire though. But I think it’s just the fact that NIL plays a big part. Used to be easy to get people to come to a big name school. But with NIL, coaching making boat loads of money, it’s hard to get big coaches to leave their cushy jobs. Like look at UL and UK last year. Pope and Kelsey were not their first options? Just a different world than it was 10 years ago. But We got a guy from a P5 conference guy that WANTS IU, that’s WANTS the pressure. Like him or not, you can do whatever. I just say we rally behind him and the team and give them a chance. Every coach started somewhere small and had to make a name for themselves. Let’s hope Darian is the next one to do that. 1) He has said he wants to get into coaching again and his buddy Shrews even said he thinks he coaches again. 2) I do think the IU job is still a top job, but even if its not, it has been said by brad that IU is his dream job Not saying it is Brad, but to me those statements might apply to every one else, but not necessarily to him. You could be 100% right, i am just trying to play devils advocate here.

I feel like some, myself included, see the name "Brad" and assume that any coach that isn't him is a failure. That's not true. I wont tell anyone what to believe, but me personally, i don't think the people i mentioned are coming in here and actually making stuff up and being trolls like Isaac is. I think they are genuinely hearing it and are posting it genuinely. Now sometimes it third/fourth/fifth hand information and maybe its get twisted or stretched along the way. That is where i would say be cautiously optimistic. But at that point, that falls on each person on whether to believe it or not. Long story short, i don't think they are trolling us for laughs.

Whether Chris, RTZ, AP, BTB GP or anyone else are right or wrong, then it is what it is. This is a free message board and we all come here wanting info. They dont post = everyone freaking out wanting info They post = if it fits your narrative, you love it. Doesn't fit = you hate it. Either way, they post what they are hearing. We should thank them for that. It's why we come here. They don't force you to believe anything. If you want to mad at someone if they are wrong, I'd look in the mirror first. Theoretically speaking, let’s say RTZ, Chris, AP, GP and BTB are all wrong….if brads name was never out there and he didn’t exist, we would all be happy with a McCollum or Drew or Otz, etc wouldn’t we? Alright, since Brad is over. I’m going cause a whole new crazy @$$ conspiracy. They’ve said a “coach out of left field”. How bout this…… ….Bruce is wanting to come to IU. Told Dolson last year he wanted one more year with his squad and a chance for Steven to get a job. Steven then leaves because IU won’t do coach in waiting, so he goes out to grind away and see what he’s got. Daddy Bruce coaches IU until Steven can have a chance to prove himself.
