To be fair Trevell redshirted last year. You can say he has potential but the staff didn’t feel like he was talented enough to beat out our other corners yet.

DJ definitely didn’t learn his shooting from Dad!

I agree he’s gone but why the delay in announcing if it is 100%?

There’s also a lot of shots for him to replace with Jett Howard going pro -
Indiana Players Now In The Portal

Agree completely on bashing the players. Most of the issue isn’t with the guys but the expectations set for them (fair or unfair). I remember all the reports about Bates being the best guard in practice and a multi level scorer before his freshman year. By all accounts he and JG have been good teammates and represented IU well off the court. If they end up in the portal and don’t burn bridges on the way out I hope they both excel at their new schools. -

How to fix the Big 10 and its constant failure during March Madness
hoopsta007 replied to iubb's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Quite simple. Change way the game is officiated in the conference. There is now a talent gap with other conferences based on how teams have had to build to compete. NIL should help some schools get better players (see Rutgers and Maryland recruiting). It can be fixed and quickly if we eliminate tackle basketball. The issue is that some of the schools benefit from the status quo and would be left behind (Purdue, Wisconsin, Iowa). -
Game Thread: NCAA R64 vs. Kent State - 3/17 @ 10:45 pm (no lie)ET on TBS

This hopefully will be a game TJD dominates. Short turn times against an unfamiliar opponent gives them less time to practice and develop an advanced game plan for him -
Everyone’s thoughts on the best 1st round matchups (non IU)? I think TAMU and PSU will be a good one

This for real or a joke?

There was also a jump ball they called as a foul and we got away with a kicked ball under the goal. Three fairly important calls all under a minute to go -

Look at the bright side. We are done with B1G officiating for the year! -

And he camps out in the lane and never gets a 3 second call. -
Count me as one of the former matchup “conspiracy theorists” but your explanation gives a lot of clarity and makes sense. Thanks! Glad in your scenario we won’t be shipped out west again.

Betting we also get a 4 seed with UK as a 5 in our bracket
-
Michigan should feel the same way. If we don’t fit the “desperate,” “hungry,” or “pissed” role after getting stomped by Iowa in our house and being TJD’s last home game then we should pack it up now.

Would be nice to play Virginia in that respect. -

Particularly if said 12/13 seed shoots ~75% until garbage time with a large volume of threes. Not many teams in the country who could overcome that -
And jump ball!

Clear over the back there

Ahh. Gotcha. I like that idea too but see the rivalry issue as being a non starter for many. I do remember one year that they eliminated protected rivalries and I think we played Purdue in Indy OOC

Adding a subtle layer of tanking and strategy for future scheduling……I like it

Random question for you guys. Why have home teams been wearing dark and away teams wearing white? Not sure if it’s been happening and I’ve missed it in the past but I’ve noticed it several times lately

Haven’t watched many mid major games this year. Would you say this year it will be more competitive because of better quality lower seeded teams or more parity among the top seeds?
