IUBB vs Rutger aka/Ruger - Tuesday, 2/7/23 @ 6:30 on BTN

A little late but didn’t we have the possession arrow on that jump ball with TJD on the free throw rebound? Why did Rutgers get the ball? -

I also saw one foul where their guy dunked it and ran back down the court. Had to come back down to shoot a free throw because he was so shocked to get a call. -

Gotta love the tool MD fan who wouldn’t give Bates the ball. They somehow make Purdue look classy -

Think we will be ok. Haven’t watched MD much this year but they have a good game plan. Running good sets on O and taking TJD out of a majority on D. They are dictating the direction of the game but Woody will get it turned around. -

8-3 foul margin with only one foul called on an Illinois starter…….We have as many techs as their starters have fouls -
You are correct. The depth is where IU struggles the most. For all the complaints about “halftime adjustments” the truth is that most of the time we wear out in the 2nd half while other B1G teams can keep fresh without a substantial drop in talent.

Isn’t flopping supposed to be a flagarant foul this year? -
I was in jest but now that you mention it I wouldn’t be surprised

IUMS NCAA Tournament Thread

Harms only limiting factor in the shootout was his size. Even when he anticipated right Syracuse still had a margin of error because he couldn’t cover the area. Not a reflection of his talent. Also a tip of the hat to Syracuse as they were getting the ball off the ground into the upper third of the goal making a save difficult if not impossible -
Mullen was the man his freshman and sophomore years. His coverage regressed after his injury but he played well on special teams. Should have a bright future and now we will see what his brother can do.

There is nothing positive with the program right now and I can’t believe anyone thinks Allen can turn it around. If you follow the program you could see this coming. A competent AD would not have allowed Walt Bell to be hired but there is zero accountability. Its crickets out of the administration. They could have moved and given a new coach the chance to talk to the players before transferring. Either the AD doesn’t care or is incredibly incompetent. My guess is they pretended to care for a bit. It’s easy to just say it’s IU football but we aren’t even on Rutgers’ level anymore. If you believe other sites Allen himself was trying to jump ship. No one else will be dumb enough to take him for us

Their whole team are allowed to play Brad Davison cheap basketball and get away with it. -

Unfortunately we can only be as good as we are permitted to be. Playing by two different sets of rules here. -

IU Football has committed several million $ to wrong choices and wrong personnel

Is this a realistic possibility? -
I think his shot can be improved. Decent form but seems to lean back a bit too much (gathered only from the highlight video). I gotta believe his recruitment is a reaction to Woody watching Johnny Davis and other star players take over at the end of a game and have guys who have no chance at stopping them.

Coddled too much in the B1G. Not every game you can essentially go a whole half without a defensive foul

I’ll say B + Ended the long Purdue and Michigan losing streaks and really should have won in Mackey. Won 2 B1G tournament games and an NCAA game. Got messed over by the NCAA with travel and laid an egg tonight but I see a big difference this year vs Archie years. -
Probably gets a hefty bonus too!
