I’m not sure his ego can spare a few years of getting it in full gear…..and I love it!

Do you believe that if we can win one of the next two that we would be back at least in the discussion?

There used to be a time when fixing games was illegal and now they just call it big ten officiating -

Nothing is going to change as long as we are in the big ten. These officials aren’t working on accident -

Getting hosed in our own house, listening to Hummel defend it. Hope football expansion can rid us of the big ten -

More ranting (thanks to all for this thread) but B1G offiating really? How does a guy get hit in the head, the foul gets reviewed and the guy getting hit gets tossed? X may have made a dirty play (debatable) but he clearly got cheap shotted himself. If two players fight then they both should be tossed. I guess it’s ok to tee off on an opposing player if you are “justified”

I agree 100% with this. I’d add that I think the team takes on his personality and there is usually little intensity or sense of urgency. Some of this falls on the players too. No visible leadership on the court and the team just hasn’t gelled. Just missing a true alpha guy.

Post All Star break Roy Hibbert for the pacers a few years ago -
You’d think he transferred to Purdue with that gesture.

I believe for WR we still have Omar Cooper and Andison Coby as well (unless I missed their announcements

I think we should reallocate some of our NIL funds for officials like Kansas has. Maybe the money just isn’t there -

Kansas was gifted a game that they had no business winning. Over the back, moving screens, elbows, forearms, and we are the ones watching them shoot free throws all game. Nothing says rigged like watching that game -

Who picks the officials for these games? How can we have such a big matchup decided by a JV group of officials -
Did things go south with the JMU QB and others or is Rourke our number one priority at QB?

Ware also looked uncharacteristically exhausted during the Michigan game, to the point that Bardo mentioned it in the first half. If that was the case those guys all played well through it -
In all fairness I used to root for other B1G teams in football and basketball but it seems like the conference is more concerned with money grabbing and having their thumb on the scale for which teams are successful. Maybe it’s always been like this and I was naive but you can’t unsee a conference changing the rules to keep a team out of the championship game. Forget loyalty to the B1G for me

(2024) - CG Dylan Harper to Rutgers
hoopsta007 replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
The only thing I’ll add is that if all the rumors are true, good for IU and our fan base. Imagine being in a recruit/families’ head so much that he is so concerned with attempting to troll our fans and makes himself look stupid and immature in the process. Living rent free in their head. He will fit in perfect at a school like Rutgers! -

I completely agree with you but at this point It would be more productive to at least get a shot up before we hand the ball to Michigan -
I root for big ten teams to do well in pre conference so we have a chance at good wins but come tournament time I hope they all perform similar to Purdue last year.
-
I’d limit it to only conference champions. It would be a way to temporarily fight the super conference expansion talk. If only conference champions made it then there would be less incentive for the top teams to group up as it would minimize their playoff access.

ESPN has started their SEC promoting. OSU may not likely make it but they act like they aren’t even in the discussion. What a joke
