  My problem with handling it in house is that there has been a zero tolerance policy set. Also this contributes a lot more bad PR for the school.

  How is it not atleast partially his fault? He recruited the players. He is the one that has never handed out stiff punishments and just slapped them on the wrist. He is atleast some of the problem.

  No but Crean should have dropped the hammer last year when all the problems were going on instead of not giving Yogi any punishment and barely giving Stan or Troy anything. He was too worried about saving his job to actually punish the kids.

Not enough big guys to win it all it takes more than 1 or 2 if you count Perea. Then if you include the coaching into the equation I say no more than a 32 rounds team maybe a 16 if we get a good draw.

Also have to give some credit to the other coach in that Regional final. Pitino always has his team playing well this time of year. Should be a heck of a game between two smart coaches and two underrated teams. 

It does not matter what kind of team he has during the year come March they are ready to play ball. 

  There are plenty of coaches that can live up to the standards of this fan base. Many of them are not available but there are some that could be had.    The problem with this is many people have so lowered their standards of this program that it is ok to be no more than a bubble team.

I think it was his own decision especially after reading that Hotzel really was not that happy with Crean elsewhere.

Even with the statements we do not,know this for sure. They are going to keep the statements in a classy manner as to be able to go to their next school without the coach questioning what will be said about them. While I do think they could have left on their own accord we do not know what was said in those meeting that made them come to that decision.

To me they do not even have to announce Crean coming back just allow him to announce his next assistant and then everyone would know. It would be announcing it without announcing it.

I do wish him luck though I thought he coule become a really good player for IU but he seemed to regress a bit from his Freshman year.

  While yes I wanted him gone for his off the court issues Crean did not kick him off because of them. He kept him the whole year IMO to help try to save his job and possibly win one or two more games. Then when it is convienant for him it is now time for him to go.

I think he needs to see the video of all those coaches getting votes of confidence during the season to be on the unemployment line 2 months later.

    The one I have spoken too has said just the opposite of this. I think there might be a rift right down the middle on who wants him here and who does not betweeen boosters like regular fans.

  That is kind of what I was thinking. I would forsee his employer being very upset if he broke news like this without them getting the credit or views.

  If this was correct I would think it would be posted on his twitter account with a link to an article placed on his employers website before he would leak it elsewhere. He would want to get him and his employer as much media attention as possible.

Damon Bailey, and Calbert Cheaney are the two people that I grew up watching, and really got me hooked on IU basketball. Well that and a dad that had been a fan since the 50s lol

    I mean while it might not be the best way to show your displeased it would get a point across because as soon as revenues start to fall he will notice. 

  Well I have been watching his post since you posted this and just kept wondering so I figured I would ask. He seems pretty confident in what he is saying though.
