Kopp shouldn’t be playing at this stage of the season. A slow, unwilling shooter. This program is a step behind until it brings better athleticism and talent to the floor.

It always feels miraculous when anyone other than TJD and JHS hits a shot. This is bc nobody else on this team is actually any good.

Game on the line you take a fade away jumper from a guy who literally never shoots the ball. Solid choice, IU. Solid. Why bother with shot selection? Just shoot whatever. Great coaching.

I’m getting tired of this program. 20+ years now of soft, coddled teams. This program doesn’t deserve its fans. Seriously. The way this program has been run, it deserves Iowa-like support. This program doesn’t deserve the fans that make the administrators and coaches and players all wealthy by paying for tickets and merch and viewership.

This team is an embarrassment.

We have one good guard and he's a freshman. We have one really good forward and they're doubling him. It's on the road. Think we'd be lucky to get out of this with a 10pt loss.

I know we won 5 games in a row and a couple on the road and looked real solid….but this is still the 1-4 team too. We are a weak team. Maryland is not good. They don’t have any good shooters and their defense is soft and yet we looked confused, flustered, and weak. TJD and Jalen, our two star players looked scared and not ready to play. That kinda tells you that this team isn’t likely going to do anything except maybe eek into the tourney. This team doesn’t have the mental ability to play with expectations or pressure. Will be hoping for a hot AH on Saturday. Beating ranked teams at home is about the only thing this team is likely to achieve this year.

Why does TJD get the ball and then he waits for the double team? lol, so dumb.

Maryland is a close to DC and Baltimore. Literally the armpit of American culture. It’s a trashy area.

Why isn’t TJD taking the ball to the basket? There is no reason Jalen should be shooting jumpers or Bates. Bad coaching to not demand that every possession go through him. Also, defense looks less engaged. That isn’t helping. Why can’t we just play hard on D every game? I don’t get it.

At least we get the hype and excitement every 4-6 yrs of the next coaching hire. They’ve run Fife and Alford off (don’t care what your opinion is of Alford), Donovan and That Boston guy aren’t coming (lol), Beard is tainted goods….that leaves…..? Should be interesting to say the least to see who turns up able and willing to steer this ghost ship of s program in 2026.

Reckon Gordon and DJ were both better than TJD and JHS. No offense to the latter. DJ could hit that jumper and Gordon was once in a lifetime talent.

Unless he quits first, Mike will be here until 2026. This year will blow and next year will blow. But he’ll hit s home run in recruiting for 2024 and then we’ll have two years in the tourney and finish top 5 in B1G and then he’ll quit. That’s my macro view. Two years of suck followed by two yrs of average (with hype) and then he retires.

We lose TJD, Race, Kopp, Xavier next year. And we probably lose Hood-Schifino to the NBA. No bigs coming in from recruiting. A couple of fringe top 100 guards committed for next year. 2024 looks to be a big recruiting year possibly. Starting lineup for next year is potentially: Bates, Galloway, Geronimo, Duncomb, Reneau. Yikes.
