Honestly, I think Woody is too old and too wobbly (literally) and too asleep and tired and distant. Who could possibly get fired up by his pregame speeches, his halftime speeches. Does he even give speeches? He just seems like a low energy guy and when did that ever work in college? Honestly. woody doesn’t look like he could outwork my mother.

Wonder if the postgame Woody will tap his hands on the table and give the same canned defensive responses.

Honestly, Wisconsin should not dominate IU. This program has been euthanized slowly. It’s sad.

IU has zero chance in this game. Zero.

Hard to win against a 7’4 guy who the refs just absolutely adore.

I’m not a fan of Woody really but he should say something in the post game about Edey being allowed to elbow defenders out of the way. Take the fine. Make the point.

When you are 7’4” you should play by the same rules.

If Edey isn’t allowed to push back his defender, Purdue is just not that special.

How is it legal to dislodge the defender with your shoulder or arm like Edey does every single time.

Vented over Mike Woodson as many of us did last night...and he def isn't the coach I want here....however, I think with the transfer portal and the NIL stuff....It would seem that leadership is down across the board.Talent is more spread out among the schools and the style of basketball (3pt shooting fest), it doesn't matter as much who you have in terms of NBA talent- anyone (almost) can beat anyone at any time, which is great in some respects but it also takes away from the drama of the past- david and goliath. Everyone is kind of the same. For instance- Rutgers could come to Btown and lose by 20 and then do we really know who is better? They both are kind of terrible. Oh well. No one in the B1G for instance is actually that much better than anyone else. Edey is the only reason we think Purdue is somewhat a bit ahead of everyone else. But when you take him away, they are just a Wisconsin team. You can't really have many effective true leaders among the big schools because the young men are now the prize and the school is paying for the privilege of their patronage. It makes leadership inept. Coaches can't demand anything from anyone. It's all about the money and the agents and the shoe companies. Mike Woodson isn't in control of this team anymore than Scott Dolson is anymore than Tim Garl. They are all just getting paid to play a part in the big money game that enriches the hell out of them, the players and leaves the fans watching nothing that represents their values, their community their town or their school. The next coach who comes here is going to hopefully be better at building rosters, better at substitution patters, and some other things...but ultimately they are all place holders, PR people who answer meaningless Qs at the ends of games. I think college athletics as we used to know them, are broken for good.

If we keep playing like this and don’t make a run at making the tourney I think Mike Woodson should be fired as soon as the season ends. It’s pretty evident at this point that his approach or system or whatever isn’t successful. If or when we stop being competitive toward making the tourney it should be clear to the administration and they should move quickly.

Turning the game off….I hope the admin is prepping behind the scenes for the next hire bc Mike Woodson and staff are not getting the job done.

Even with impotent guards, we still can totally win many games, but we won’t win many games because we don’t have discipline. I don’t have any faith that we will win this game.
