I just look at Phinisee and I look at Trice and then compare them to Lander and knowing Lander's output, I just can't fathom why fans here think he's the answer, as long as he just plays more and gets his feet under him. You're correct, I shouldn't focus on his weight, you can play or you can't, I just have seen enough to know he's not fixing things and get tired of hearing he would. Still not sure why I brought weight into it other than thinking there's a huge leap both in speed and in physicality to go from HS ball to D1 ball, let alone Big10 ball.

Can we stop with the but he’s a 5 star talk. Yes he was, in 2021-22. He moved up a year - subtract a star, he’s also about 15lbs light for a Big10 quality guard - subtract another star or half star. He’s nowhere close to being ready to contribute. At this rate my only concern is he doesn’t stick around and looks for greener pastures for playing time. Think he can help us, just not going to happen in 2021

Weird to me the leash was so tight with Hunter in the first. Franklin’s injury had something to do with it but I kept expecting Archie to sub him out especially after those awful fouls on 3s and to not see him the rest of the night, but it never came until ironically he drilled a 3 with less than a minute to go. Hoping that builds some confidence as he’ll be needed to spell Thompson and TJD with our lack of size.

Great win, when we didn't shoot it well at all, which likely will be more nights than not, so nice to grind out the W. Need Franklin back quickly, and I'd wager that will be the worst game we see from Galloway this season.

Was critical of him in the first, but TJD has done so much better playing through contact this half. Thought there were moments he got bullied off the spot, but that's been nonexistent this half. Much better half all around though

Another game where fans in the building would really help. Tried imagining how loud it would have gotten with fans after that TJD slam!

Defense is slipping a bit while the offense continues to be lackluster. They’re getting plenty of clean looks at the basket close, and unfortunately they seem to be better finishers there

He’s quite thin. No Brunk leaves Geronimo and Hunter as your subs for the bigs. Hunter played like 2 minutes maybe after nearly breaking the backboard on his early 3. Don’t disagree with your overall point he’s just handcuffed. No Franklin and I’m sorry for the Lander fans but he’s nowhere close to be ready to contribute no matter the minutes he sees

Thank you - I’ve never understood with our offensive deficiencies we continue to weave or swing it around the perimeter for half the clock before we get into a set. Which is typically initiated with a high ball screen

That Galloway 3 was probably the closest. I can remember two now from Hunter and Leal both that nearly got wedged between the backboard and rim.

TJD has definitely improved from the line this season. Something positive in between the bricks I’ve been seeing. Need to win this one - not seeing much from Maryland that is a difference maker unlike last years team

True that, although that time he got blown by on the baseline late, I'm still not sure he's reacted to that fake to the left, yet. Could be escaping me, but best game he's had in an IU uniform? At the very least best Big10 game

If you guys want to compare a loss to ranked FSU on the road to a game against an average Penn State team then so be it. I'd just note that in that FSU matchup we gave up only 62 points in regulation. Against Penn State we allowed 80 in 40 minutes - I'd say we've got some work to do, but maybe my expectations are too high

Looks like a guy who's been awaiting to finally play a good game and looks incredibly pleased with himself. Loved seeing him going at the basket and attacking. Team needs more of that

I just think last year's Penn State team was far better. Yes they could shoot, but I found them to be incredibly small tonight and not very skilled with the ball (TOs, decision making). Sadly we may not be that far ahead of them in those categories we were able to survive their shooting barrage. I'm not going to pretend I've seen much of their play this season, I just didn't think that was a very good Penn State team tonight.
