Hate to look ahead but this team is going to have to win some B1G game on the road or they are looking at a St Mary's type of team in the tournament again that will blow their doors off if they aren't ready to play. Clearly not on the level of Kansas and Arizona, but that St Mary's team ate our lunch no problem - just not seeing much difference even with two 5* freshmen. Gulp

Definitely should keep putting our head down and keep driving it in the teeth of the defense. At some point it has to work

Fair enough just hadn't heard about a bf until now. All the headline reports have been family member. Not sure on all the legal terminology as I don't have children, so unsure what would require a daughter's bf to be reported as a family member (same legal residence?). Far too early for me to really care to speculate just my immediate reaction was he probably should be fired. To your point, far too early to jump to any conclusion though

Apologies, just hadn't read or heard anything about a daughters bf until now. Knowing his direct family consists of 4 women and his oldest daughter is only 20, I just found that a bit repulsive and would assume he has to get fired in addition to whatever legal consequences. Not sure where you stand on retaliation against women, just had only saw the reports of an assault on a family member and knowing what his family consists of from when it was speculated that he could be a potential IU basketball head coaching candidate is what caused me to think he has to get fired.

Arizona's size should have been the perfect opportunity for him to see the floor though no? 8 minutes seems a bit light especially with TJD having an off night. He need Race to play poorly or get in foul trouble to see the floor more than 8 minutes? Just odd to me looking at the box score. Bates having the night he did and IU playing from behind and needing more offense likely played a role. Just 8 minutes makes me feel bad for him as he came back and now has all this talent in front of him at the 4 and 5

I said the same thing! Love some of the things JG can do, but one thing that I keep noticing is he will often struggle catching the ball which was always a thing that stood out to me when Perea was playing.

Playing for a team who needs him to play the 3. Woodson had him out there at the spot in the 2nd half for a bit but was short lived

I might get even more hate for thinking there is a lack of player development at IU, but he's sort of running short on time isn't he? Unless he's going to use a Covid 5th year he's already a junior and a bit of a tweener with his size. He's the most athletic player when he steps on the floor but just hasn't put it all together. Reminding me a lot of Perea

I just was super impressed with Ballo. I refuse to believe that was the same player that transferred from Gonzaga. TJD has had some coaching turnover which hasn't helped, but he's had such a great career for IU it's hard to not think what could have been if he had a jumpshot. His game desperately needs it or finding 2-3" if he wants to sniff the next level
